The authors novel is not bad I just think he tried to introduce to many different elements in a single book, and the characters sense of logic is odd. I mean the Xis punish humans because humans action aprently messed with the universal balance. The planet was dying because the sun burnt out I mean humans arent responsible for that. Now don't get me wrong im not stopping anyone from reading this book just giving my review.

Well, the author probably just didn't explain it properly. He went from the sun dying, to aliens punishing humans for their sins against the earth, which would probably, maybe confuse a few people. But i think because the author knows all potential readers are from planet earth, we would have some knowledge on our "sins" onto the earth as humans. Pollution, deforestation, extinction of whole species' because of us... just to name a few.
Did you read the whole novel? Your criticisms are valid, but humans may actually be responsible for the destruction of the Sun, and maybe the Xi just took advantage of that and the guilt humans felt to take over Earth. The Xi don’t feel like they are nice people, being the murderers and child-implanters they are.

Unlikely i have read until chapter 106 and from the information i gathered. The humans in this story are not advanced enough to cause any sort of damage to the sun. You must remember the sun is a mass of burning gas if someone were to destroy it there are only two methods. The first method would require them to drain the sun if it energy and the second is to use a powerful energy based weapon. The humans are not advanced enough to use any of them. I think the Xi simply used that as an excuse to concure earth because if the humans were truly somehow responsible it would make more sense to kill all the humans rather than imprison them.

Yup but the problem is... Those kind of 'sins' can only destroy earth and not the sun.... Hell how can you destroy something that you cannot even approach in the first place
