Pretty much its angst to the extreme with a pointless gender bend. Just read the tags and that is pretty much what the story is about. My only complaint will be how accepting the MC is about 'her' situation...

MC broke after the torture, he said he doesn't care anymore he lost everything, he even wanted to die. Now mc got second chance and a preciouse little doll. When mc got attacked by the fire he threw the doll away from the fire and got hit directly, the mc knew that he could die but still saved the doll. Which means that he doesnt care about anything except for the doll everything else doesnt matter including his new gender, he's just happy he had a second chance and finaly has 'a family'. And genderbend isn't pointless. He's a little girl with a doll and that fits more than a guy with a doll. You could give him a pet but that wouldn't enhance how broken he is. (He considers the doll family 'its just a doll') that he prepaired to consieder a doll family is showing how broken he is. And the story just started so yea till now its about the tags. The only thing i dont understand is how fast mc broke while he was being tortured including that he lost 'everything'. Its still weird that he broke so fast, i am no master torturer but i am sure that you dont break to the point you don't feel pain in 1 day. He also killed armed men after being tortured for hours(he should be weakend).

if you remove the prologue it's pointless yea, and I agree they could have just picked an fl from the beginning and it may have worked even better. it just has to have something symbolizing the extent of the change in the mindset of the mc. Because that's what the genderbending in this story essentially does. As he was just a normal guy that turned into a traumatized little girl because of said event. And age regression could also have worked with an fl lead from the start probably even better as keeps some sort of form to change back to, to grow past well his/her past and return/grow a to better self. if only the author continued the story. The doll represents how shallow the relationship between him and the person that betrayed him was, one build on a fake reality. A person that doesn't exist and he still clings to that idea. He finds solace in his own fabricated reality and although some of that reality shattered once he was betrayed that doll is what left of his ability to trust and care. And the doll is exactly why I liked this story. I never quite saw a story that used an object the way this story does. A doll is also what children use to find a sense of safety/solace and care. They grow past it some points and its when they start to define themselves as grown up. As they have grown past the need of a doll by their side. Which is why the age regression worked quite well. And it wouldn't matter how op he/she got that doll would be a major weakpoint as long as the mc didn't grow past their pain. So I saw a lot of potential, but alas
