Lol. I waited but ML never got there. The FL seemed strong at some parts of the beginning chapters and I waited but she never got there either especially when it came to the ML encounters from the time they did the deed. The only good thing the author did was write the thoughts of the ML which many authors don't only the FL's but his thoughts reflected his dickhead actions throughout the book until the last 2 chapters when he realized he was wrong...the FL continues being a loser to the end in their relationship except with other chars...well I dont read a romance book for the other chars. I was intrigued bcos of earlier chapters to when he produced the contract and she walked out seeming like a strong FL...but that was it...the next time she came back it was downhill from the authors writing. Maybe some readers like this but I dont enjoy an FL who never gets back up.

To this same trial read book, Goodnight Mr Ji. Webnovel likes to "pin" good reviews on the front pages of all books which is mis leading if they dont update the reviews over time with newer comments. You are correct. I'm currently reading the raws and I'm finding the FL FRUSTRATINGLY STUPID and the ML just as bad. The story is so terrible every stupid situation gets dragged out several frustrating chapters more and petty issues which could've been solved by using just a bit of common sense gets escalated instead. ML & FL don't necessarily have much emotional build up as a couple and instead spend more time making love out of lust then guessing each other's thoughts than having proper communication. There's just a lot of misunderstandings and unnecessary drama in between... I feel like I've wasted enough time trying to give this novel a chance to redeem itself but all I get is more disappointment so be dropping this already

I know right! Wasted my time waiting, when I got to the part where the ML's party was happening I thought again maybe things turnaround after this...but what a disappointment especially when you read the ML's thoughts by author later. You are correct about the emotional connection though...there was none conveyed to me throughout except how each can take advantage of the other. I can't believe the book got selected as an option for Voting. Scary to think this type of book appeals enough to have that happen. Yuch!

Ye Shengge’s character is weak. She’s been harrassed and embarrassed for so many times but she still held on as a pushover. In spite of the evidences and realizations that her fiance cheated on her, the excuse of not retaliating is quite lame. She cannot even stand up against her own relatives who are cheating her of her inheritance. Insisting on having a sexual relationship with the Male Lead as cure of her birthmark is actually absurd and unconvincingly feeble to reckon. The only thing that twists the story and makes one look forward to the next chapters is the side of Yi Shiting. Your excitement will rise to know about his family, the woman he was previously engaged, and as to the reason why he has this abnormalities towards women and sex. All in all, the story is ok. It’s not so emotionally heavy. There’s comedy, too. But the plot is not really highly anticipating. There are also errors in the names, perhaps an Editor can help.

This novel is a dissappointment. The FL is so weak, this kind of character should never be an FL. Not once did she fought for her love, she doesn't match the ML. The only reason why i keep reading this because of the ML so decisive, domineering and knows what he wants and how to get it while the FL is so frustrating that i just want to nag this stupid author!! Honestly the most idiotic and infuriating FL I’ve ever come across on webnovel. She started off smart and rational, but maybe the drug she took also took away her IQ and EQ cause i cannot fathom how someone this dumb and wishy-washy has the ability to survive.
