Great story indeed. Not your typical cross-dressing FL and ML story. A mix of xianxia (with Gu and all), modern setting (school, people in power) and paranormal (hints of it with ML having some powers that are apparently blocked). Added to the fact that this MTL has an editor (Rxel, who is ALSO an Author in WN), the reading is smooth and wonderful. No gender mistakes, no weird sentence structure etc. Pick this up. You won't regret it.

Editor of this novel here. :) Badass Female Lead, check. Equally as badass Male Lead, check. A cute pet, who is silly and adds comic relief, check. Ling Jue, the cross-dressing FL casually takes her revenge against her scheming step-family. Making money, starting up a business... she does it all. Instead of the typical love-at-first-sight novels, this one starts off with both ML and FL trying to kill each other. It is an enjoyable read, with cute interactions.

This is an amazing story. I’m surprised it was not picked up earlier. Honestly going in I was like is this a knock off of ‘the National school prince is girl’. But not really. It’s a gender bender and they have rich families involved and that’s where the obvious similarities end. I totally recommend, but as always with a machine translation novel...IT NEEDS AN EDITOR!! The wording is a bit jumbled and confusing sometimes, but it is rather enjoyable. I felt confused when I first read the first couple chapters because it didn't sound like it had any context. Usually I can catch on to the plot of a story pretty quickly, but if not for the Summary, it would have taken me quite a while to understand what was going on. Other than that, it's a pretty good read - something to read to kill time.

I'm at chapter 473 rn and I am actually getting bored. The FL's character, as of the moment, can't really make me stay because I can't fathom her character design. I'm not talking abot her background or whatnot, I'm talking about her personality. She appears to be cold and aloof but when she's with the ML, her IQ plummets to zero as well as her EQ. She's smart and decisive at some times but in front of the ML, she's becoming stupid. I don't know if it's funny for some but I actually find it a little off. However, perhaps it'll go better as the story progresses so I'll stay a bit more and update my review once again.
