Writing quality started off alright, then slowly came to sh!t. The grammar mistakes (lots of em) come at around chapter 40. At this point, the writing is not even a fraction as smooth as it had been when the story started. Can't say much about story development since I'm only up to chapter 58. All I can say is that it's quite boring at the later chapters, like you can predict what's going to happen. MC's merry band is equipped with thick plot armour and his only goal is to lead them to build a shop where they can sell goods.? I feel that author is downplaying the sense of danger in an apocalypse. It's like I'm reading a book about a party in a videogame farming for exp instead of an apocalypse story... There's plus sides though, in the earlier chapters, the entire part showcasing MC's history was done splendidly, but it all went downhill from there. The author only uses MC's background to explain his skillfulness at killing zombies and doesn't touch upon it again. Is he worried about his remaining family or does he not care and wants to forget them? And the other main characters (his best friends) are not emphasised upon. (at least not at chapter 60, maybe they will be later). They seem like the bland side characters instead of the mains because the author doesn't put much of an effort to describe their relationship with the MC. Side characters are side characters. Up to chapter 60, we only now their names and their previous occupation or general information (she is a middle-aged woman!). World background is actually pretty okay. Typical zombie apocalypse stuff yada yada. I like what the author did with the system, and explaining that those who couldn't take the pain at the start became zombies. He could build upon this and slowly reveal stuff about how it happened and why the system is in place. I stopped reading at chp. 65 because of the bad grammar. If it's fixed, I may start reading again. The novel started off strong and i hope it can salvage it's quality in future chapters.

I respect your opinion but I also want to quickly say a few words, just my opinion. This is Author's first novel and first novels won't ever be perfect in regards to writing and grammar. Unless you have a professional editor but that wouldn't make sense, because the rewards dwarf the costs. I also feel that the writing and grammar has gotten better, I'm at chapter 145(Up-to-date) so I've seen author's growth during these months. I do agree that at the beginning the grammar was a bit rocky and all over the place. Onto the characters and background. I feel that the group he has around him feel realistic and genuine, and I mostly don't have that when reading other novels. There's a lot of conversation between the group, backgrounds that get explored, like Marianne and Evo's. Also Sheila and her dad. They are not just sidecharacters but their families also add something to the world, they are significant and feel whole instead of only Jun's background being filled out. All in all I think that personally this Novel is worth reading and it's one of my favorites at the moment, but as I said I respect your opinion. Hopefully you find another good novel or continue reading but that's up to you. Have a good one. ( ꈍᴗꈍ)

Yea, I believe I was quite frustrated about how the novel started off well but dropped in quality. I kind of expected the novel to be worthy of its high ratings (4.8 last time) but didn't see that it was a new novel with few reviews so the rating might be kind of wrong (relative to the quality of other novels) At the start, I was moved and felt that the high ratings were well-deserved but after that .. I wondered whether the author sacrificed quality for more chapters. Sorry, I guess that I was just disappointed, leading me to write such a long-winded review, but I don't mean offense to anyone. I hope people just treat the words in the review as a bout of bad temper, and not be discouraged about trying out this author's first book. I always try to provide an accurate rating for novels! Have a nice day !

I've read all the way to chapter 300 something and while there are grammar mistakes, it's really not that bad. There's much, much worse out there. And considering it's set in the Philippines, the author likely isn't a native English speaker.
