Review Detail of newthings in Emperor NPC

It's probably closest to the isekai sub-genre of sci-fi fantasy. It's got a few reincarnations in it and almost the entire story takes place in a VRMMO. I guess there are also xianxia elements, but they're not core to the novel. The main character is an NPC that died in one game and was resurrected in another. The plot follows his second life as a player, after his limitations as a non-player character were removed.
