Honestly, the story was doing just great in the beginning, but you had to follow the same casual path. What do you even mean by ruler of death and destruction. This guy can't help himself but help every unfortunate soul he will meet, apparently as long as you have a strong 'Will' you are trustworthy. Really!! .do i have to remind you this a world ruled by magi and magi are known to be selfish and pragmatic beings.

If someone was directly responsible for the death of trillions and the extinction of races of the universe how can he not be considered a being of death and destruction( In the lastest chapters are a tale of his life as an Abyss Lord and why he can be considered pure destruction and death). As for the way he acts now, he always tested those around him, and only if they manage to pass does he allows them to be with him. As for the cruelty of the Magi Wolrd, most Magus that I have present are pragmatic and cruel.
Bro think for a second am not criticising your work, honestly I love your work man and I can agree to some extend it is indeed better than WMW But there just something's that doesn't match. Look At your Mc dont you thing that for someone who lived thousands of years and who killed probably more than billions should act a bit more evil/cold/selfish and arrogant, but your mc is too humble and he is ever smiling which doesn't really make sense to me. For reference look at Li Qi Ye (emperor domination) , the guy is an old devil who lived for millions of years yet have u ever seen him humbling himself ??
But you have to understand that Li Qi Ye had hundreds of trump cards from the moment he woke up in his mortal body, and Zatiel has none, and he had to make them. Also I don't think he is humblign himself. He is just aware that he is no longer an all-mighty being, and being realistic about your situation his much better than think that your past matter. As for smiling, if you don't feel joy then what is the point of living. Also, he is pretty bold sometimes like when he practically says to a Soul Forging existence to go **** himself. I have to agree with you brother, it surprises me how only according to the strength of the will he is able to transform ezekiel into a neo-demon, as previously mentioned that not even rank one magicians are capable of supporting and zatiel is only capable to endure by the AI-chip and his soul as a previous demon (apart from being able to create a lineage that is an experiment of law beings without any errors or failures just based on his memories and understanding of his AI-chip)

dude yours novel is great and everything but the mc is just a no no for some ppl you see. he's a million years old demon but he changed cause he walked with a girl in a few chapters. are u kidding me dude ? from hidding behind him to yelling and hitting him in a chapter or two and he didn't get angry cuz he changed huh dud not even kids change like that
