I read this story on Royal Road a very long time ago. It was my first story. I've noticed isn't very popular in royalroad. Which I think isn't doing this story justice. Its a great novel. The psychological aspect is great. The MC feels like a real person shaped through his circumstances that leads to his personality being extremely interesting. The plot is great as well. Overall, I'm glad this was my first story on royalroad at the time when I was still a lurker.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. RR is seriously tough to get a footing when you go against what’s hot. Literally these days it’s you do isekai or go bust. As a test I went and slightly modified the title on RR for one day to include the word isekai and modified the synopsis to be isekai related and it got 20+ followers in a day.
