After reading 60 chapters, the story has really intrigued me. I usually don't give 5 stars to story development but this one is a refreshment after all the xianxia I've read on this site. This story is much more practical and relatable as strength doesn't solve all the problems here, the MC uses tactics since he is physically a normal person. There's fair bit of politics involved since he is the son in law of an earl whose enemies want to remove him from power. There are moments that might make you stressed about what he will do, at the same time the story has funny elements and is not all time stressful. I suggest you give it a try as I'm sure most people will enjoy this read.

Fug you can't even edit the damn reviews. I wanted to add that this novel has faceslapping in it. I'm not sure if it's low or high because only 60 chapters have been released but there are 2 or 3 faceslapping scenarios in these 60 chapters.

Stories like this and Pursuing Immorality, and Empress Gigolo need way more love and actual attention bu QI. I'll never understand why QI will keep letting trash novels get picked up, only to be dropped 2-3 months later, while there is clearly a solid fanbase for more story type novels like Pursuing Immorality, or comedy ones. Sigh...

this is the most enjoyable read so far, ive never read romance novel without xianxia and wuxia bullsh*t and this is really revive my taste bud for romance (i dont mean that the novel is pure romance, there will be a bit kicking here and there bur overall the story is contain slice of life - revenge and romance) , and this is my first novel about romance since every romance novel out there start with female mc instead of male one, and i found this intriguing, as for the story this is similar to empress gigolo's which is the male MC is weak chicken that will use his in-laws backing and his wife to do everything that he wishes, as for the MC Gold finger, he transmigrated with xray vision and laptop in his sea of consciousness with 20years worth of medicine knowledge, bachelor degree and extremely handsome face Overall the story is very good, the face slapping isnt to forced after reading 60 chapter Note : Highly recommended for those who like romance but dont like the MC to be female

This is a harem... damn the title is misleading... I haven't read this yet and will not read this. I don't like stories with a harem plot. Though the premise sounds interesting and reading some other reviews it seems the story is good. So if you don't mind harem you should go ahead and read it. I didn't give this story a low rating because I understand that it would appeal to other people and just because it's not to my liking doesn't mean it's bad...

Webnovel...... This trial read system is now officially a failure. Both the novels picked against this gem have LESS TOP FANS than this. I don't know on what basis the novels get picked, but I must say this... I'm so much disappointed in Webnovel right now. Btw when I saw this in the morning, it was showing this novel was picked. Now it isn't even in the trial read section. This is my first novel review in a really long time, I didn't really imagine I'd be typing this kind of review on this novel. First of all don’t judge this novel based on author’s previous work. This novel is totally different and it is unbelievable how an author could improve so much. I will do this review in two parts, first part is for first 400 chapters and second part is for rest of the chapters. First half of the novel is full of political intrigue, strategical battles and lots of scheming. Our MC is shameless, petty, revengeful, narcissistic flower boy. He is extremely intelligent with no physical power at all. He becomes son-in-law and helps his wife’s household to go through their difficulties. First half of the novel is all about rising in political ladder and a bit of knowing the world. World is mysterious, with lots of hidden mysteries. THE ONLY THING I HATE ABOUT FIRST HALF IS useless, stupid references. SO MANY REFERENCES!!!! SO MANY REFERENCES!!! SO MANY REFERENCES!!! I mean 35 out of 100 (I.E 35% or less of first half) chapters are only about references. Second half isn’t that much about politics it is about MC knowing the mysteries of the ancient civilization, their extraordinary inventions, unearthing them and studying them. Using their technology and modern earth technology to create something new. Our MC doesn’t become strong until last 100 chapters of the novel. The second half of the novel is about mysteries and some sci fi elements are involved. There is a huge twist in the end involving everything that happened throughout the novel. The ending is not bad but it does not do justice to the novel. In the end novel becomes somewhat of sci fi genre. And If you know little about science then maybe you will find ideas of author little stupid and preposterous. But for me it was in bearable range.
