The strange thing about this character is that she is selfish. She's childish and everything I'd looked at in a business like manner. But that's how she was raised. From her time as a prostitute's daughter, to the time she spent with the count family. There was no one she could trust and depend on. Even her mother was not around. But there are signs of compassion even if she doesn't fully understand why she does certain things. Don't turn away from this story just because of the MC's selfish behaviors. It's a worthy read.
