It’s a worn story line Princess needs prince who gets the crown. I want to see a book with depth and a new plot. Where is originality? Tired of trite.

No problem! I just really personally like this piece of history and am pretty scared of doing it an injustice. Also yeah this version just isn't quite what I want either so sorry ;-;

Sorry, I'm not trying to defend the story, but this is a historical-based story. The storyline isn't really about a princess who needs a "prince to get the crown" but more about the reunification of China under the Sui dynasty. That's why the story overall focuses more on the Northern and Southern dynamics and their clashes. A large part of the reason that I have went on hiatus is because I am trying to write a story that isn't about romance necessarily but more about the dynamics of that period. I don't want to turn this into a pure romance novel about a princess and a prince because I do think that is doing this period of history "dirty" in a sense. This is an original story but is based on actual historical events, so I'm afraid the plot is about a princess and a prince. I'm not very far with the storyline because I do think I can do better with it, but if I somehow one day? actually finish reading the story?, I do hope that you will find some depth in it. The overall theme of this story isn't romance. It's war and destruction but also reunification and most importantly cultural reunification. Thank you for your review! And I really do hope you see some depth in the storyline if I ever finish ;-;
