I think the first thing that even stood out to me what that your grammar is on point (I didn't think that'd be rare but from I've been reading it's seriously a breath of fresh air). Like what you said, it's not a cliche novel that seems like it's set in a parallel universe but actually really relatable? That whole fangirling part honestly could've been some people I know I real life lol. Anyways, it might for a really refreshing read out here. Good luck!!!!

Sucker for romance novels here writing a review! Feel the FL's pain and hoping there will be some face slapping. Just hoping. Like how the story is being written and how humor is incorporated. I like how I can easily picture out the scenes coz for other novels, they tend to be wordy and difficult to understand. At least, that's just me. Great job Author! Keep it up. Excited for the couple's development.

I often avoid romances because of overused plots and tropes. But this has been a pleasant surprise. This story feels like a Kpop TV romcom -- one can almost see the drop dead gorgeous Lee Min Ho stepping out in the male lead's crisply tailored suits, amidst the glossy, light-washed scenery. Slice of life details further emphasize this mood, as one is drawn into the world of our heroine, Shao Yan. MC is someone every career girl could relate to. She's single, has just left a failed relationship, and is determined to start life over in a new city. Compared to her dazzling male lead, she is very normal, very average. Therein lies the implied plot conflict, how this seemingly ordinary everywoman, who aspires only to succeed in her job, is swept off her feet and becomes an unlikely Cinderella. Is it for real, or is she repeating old mistakes? This is not your usual melodramatic love story with face-slapping, emotional abuse, and poor girl-gets-rich man-and gets her revenge storyline. Conflict builds up slowly. In fact a possible antagonist doesn't appear until Chapter 45, and a back story about the MC and this villain is not given until Chapter 50. Readers who want more drama and action might not appreciate the lack of intensity, however those who prefer a light romance to relax to, a few chuckles here and there, real-life office drama, and fluff and snu-snu will enjoy it. Since it's only the middle of the story, and the plot is still developing, it's too early to tell how the story will be sustained. It's the main reason I haven't given it a perfect score. For now it's a welcome respite to see a strong and independent MC who is neither a ***** nor a dragon lady, and a leading man portrayed in a positive light, who is not a bully or an overbearing CEO. Grammar and idiomatic expressions can be polished, structure and pacing can be tightened so it's not dragging, but overall these do not get in the way of one's reading experience. Kudos to Author Gold_Paper_Crane. May your source of inspiration never run dry!

This story absolutely deserves much more than its current spot in the power-rankings! It's just so immersive and life-like that one wonders why isn't it one of the top story's within WN! Just read it and I promise you... the more you read, the more fascinated you'll get by the situations you see the MCs in, by the tears and joys you'd experience throughout the story, etc. This is simply a heart-warming story that deserves so much more! Let me also add... in case you gave it a chance in the past but didn't persist through, then I can just humbly say... It Deserves a Second Chance!

Update: I’m in love with this novel. Not only does the story progress nicely, you even have wonderful nicknames to call the characters. By far the best one is a doting goldfish (in my opinion at least 🥰). Everyday I look forward to having a new chapter up (thank you for that author) and I can say that I would defiantly continue to read until the end. 🤩

This is a really light hearted and fluffy novel... If you want something light after reading so much cliché or roller coaster like novels then you can definitely give this a try, you will truly love it... Our FL is a divorcee and want to live a happy life again whereas our ML is attracted to her in their first meeting and now is pursuing her🙂 you will see lots of fluff and pink bubbles in every chapter 🤗 do give it a try😉😉😉
