What design mistake on the cover? Sorry that you have to repeat yourself, I have missed reading about it before.

the toaster has 2 slots, there are 2 front slots but the bar across is one solid bar, so it only functions to toast 2 slices at once, if the bar is divided you toast 2 individual slices. I could see her mind working more on those lines.
