Looks like it has potential, and the humor is quite to my liking - I just hope it will not end in too much 'temperamental' people as that can get annoying real fast ;) I'm really looking forward to the little snakes pov and what'll be up with the curse you forshadowed.

I'm glad you liked it. No, there will not be many annoying characters like that. Helen just wants to be praised non-stop for the child she just gave birth after carrying him for 9 months. Joseph is just letting her be spoiled for a while. Even though I plan to make the Mc quite a bit patient, he will have none of that temper blowing on him. Also, thanks for the review.
good to hear that, though I just wanted to make sure; their behavior seemed natural enough, but as I've red so many novels where this went bad really fast I thought to voice my concerns (sorry if that came about a bit strong -.-') - and here that would've been quite a pity... So, as I said, I'm really looking forward to the next chapters :D

Erelbrinx:It's okay, you don't have to feel sorry about that. In fact, I actually like these type of comments(not that I get many comments). As an *******, it's quite frustrating to not get any comments on your work.
That I can relate to, any reaction if often preferable to not even having someone taking a bit of their time to voice appreciation...though if I'm honest, I charge myself guilty of that as well - binge reading doesn't exactly help voicing thoughts to 'small' if well thought details in a story. But as in contests like these smaller/minor writers often participate that could use encouragement, or even feedback, I think one should REALLY take the 1 minute to at least say 'hey author, I like this!' - well, thats my point of view at least :/
