This is most definitely a feel good story, and it is up there in quality compared to some other works on this site. Unfortunately this does not mean that it's great, since there is a lot of **** stories here. The main problem I see is that the author most likely practices a discovery writing and makes stuff up on the way. For example the MC gets skills or useful items that are later forgotten and not used when needed. There's a skill system in the world. What purpose does it serve is unknown, because MC can just go around and make whatever 'cool stuff' with ice she imagines even though it is not her skill, and apparently the stuff she does is for some reason more effective than skills (exploding/splitting/transforming/remotely controlled ice spears/balls/walls/ramps or whatever else). There's a lot of things that are suddenly introduced even though it might have been important earlier (time dilation in dungeons for example). Minor spoiler ahead: What got me to completely drop the story was the MC killing some random bloke after a second auction just because he happened to have bought an item that she needed. He was not fighting or threatening her. He was just running for his life, being pursued by two thieves. There goes all the talk about her moral integrity and not slaughtering ppl for power I guess.

Bad. Not talking about new york but about the next city. The guy bought sth from the auction and she killed two of them.. one the guy who had bought the item in the other three people the guy who bought it and two who were chasing him.. So much for morals. And if you really think that s*** was fine you arent ok my friend. Ofc saying this cuz she had 'morals' . And the reviewer is right not much thinking going on in creating those chapters. This whole platform suffers from it. While there are some good ones most or 99% are bad.
Hardrada_:If I remember correctly the person she killed wasn't the person who bought the item but one of the people chasing after it. Also they were all chasing the item and willing to kill for it. In fact I New York turns a blind eye to auction killing toward the top end because of how common it is.

That was after the first auction miniarc. I specified I was talking about the second one. I did not went into more memorable specifics (like location) to keep it spoiler free.

Its a socialy accepted practice. She did it to survive in the long term so she could get stronger. So what would you choose kill a stranger or maybe be to weak to defend yourself

She has a certain amount of morals she doesnt just kill everyone she sees but that doesnt mean she wont kill people. I suspect she is getting bloodthirsty on purpose. I think this shift in morals is a foreshadowing of a new arc

You seem to forget that reviews are just that. Subjective opinions of people, showing their own view and experience. There is no point in being livid about someone not sharing your enjoyment from a product. Taking above into consideration, I am not trying to convince you to anything, I am merely trying to show my perspective. You may either relate to it or not. There are two things unrelated to the book itself that you are dead wrong on though. The first is that finding something widely accepted as repulsive/wrong as repulsive/wrong somehow forces me to share most people conscience in all areas. I don't see anything wrong with revenge. For me it is an appealing premise. While I see an avoidable murder as appalling. The second thing is that I dropped this series solely because of that. As I said in the beginning. I do not think that the world or writing are strong points of the series. As a consequence I see this only as a feel-good story. To paraphrase this - I don't see any value in bracing through the novel and to have an enjoyment from reading I need connection to the characters, which I clearly did not find.

I admit that I jumped the gun on my reply to your comment as I was already tired and it was really late so I apologize for that and it was not only your review I was mad at but it was also some other comments that were connected to it however i will say that you are not properly understanding the world of which the characters are in but that’s not something people can fix as that I just the view that some people have and I will respect that. I just really like this novel and your review and some of the comments attached just irritated me a bit as I had noticed that there was some misconceptions that you and other people had about the novel and the characters themselves. I will apologize for my earlier comment as it was a bit blunt but some of the stuff I wrote I will still stand by.
Also I was mainly mad about your view on the auction that you added at the end of your review then the review itself which is way I say that I jumped the gun saying that your review is bull**** and that happened to be what I focused on more then the rest of your review as I can actually respect what you said. I will remove my first comment however I do want you to keep in mind that Shiro doesn’t have any actual morals, she just does what will benefit her the most.

Thanks for your answer. I respect your opinion, and I see how one can enjoy this novel (I wouldn't get to 1xx chapter if I didn't have hopes that I will enjoy it more). Now I also see that I was unnecessarily snarky in the review, which could warrant your reaction. I apologize for that.
