The mother in both rage and despair revealed she was nymph (in this world they act like angels for the gods). The father realizes this and starts explaining that he ONLY loves her. That he slept with the woman because she said she would kill herself if he wasn’t in relationship with her. The mom enraged stole the souls and killed of both him and the girl. Before turning around to curse her son saying he would not walk under sunshine ever again. The young Duke collapses and is unable to stop his mother from turning into foam herself. His old nanny comes in and was like - you should’ve known better to have trusted a fickle human. Then she nudges away the drawing young Duke who’s begging for answers. She ignores him and gathers up the foam into a container before asking if he blames his mother for cursing him. He says no - he blames his father the root cause of this whole mess. He pities his mother because in the end her rage and despair must have been so life-altering to have done such actions. The nanny finally sympathetic tells him that there is a way to break the curse and gives him chance to do so with a ring she gave him. She gives the ring and says you return to the age of 22 the moment this happens. He asks her is there was to prevent his mother’s broken heart and his father’s idiocy. She says this moment cannot be undone. However, she will give him a chance to prove himself. Then tells him to keep in mind that blessings and curses are pretty much the same thing depending on the person on hand. Though, she warns him that soon enough the numbness in feet will spread to his chest before long and stop his heart. He will die then. Then the nanny disappeared leaving him looking at the spot where his mother was and the dead bodies. Later, the butler revealed that he was helping to hide the affair the whole time and the Duke was enraged. Then the guy was like I can continue to be useful. Duke then noticing that he seems weirdly obsessed over serving the family name making him creeped out. The moon finally comes out and now he’s able to move around. He decides to maim the face of the dead woman and dress her in his mother’s clothes. Dress his father in normal clothes since he was naked this whole time, stuff them both in a carriage and pushed them off a cliff. Essentially, making their deaths seems like an accident.
