As of this review, 146 chapters have been published. First of all, the writing is great. While there are grammatical mistakes here and there, they are so minimal that it doesn’t distract one from the story. The author’s writing style simply sucks you right in, and the length of the chapters are satisfyingly long. I discovered this story through another work written by the author which had a significantly darker theme compared to Unloved Twin. This story is light-hearted and fun, and the occasional glimpses into the protagonist’s past lives are either entertaining or heart-wrenching. Aside from that, the story also carries a darker undertone especially when it comes to the backstories of certain characters. The two colours of the story juggle very well together, and it makes one want to cheer for the happiness of the characters. Unlike any other OP Mary Sue/Gary Stu isekai power trips of the same genre, the story is slow-paced and places focus on the slice-of-life of a person who is too matured to act their physical age. There are no OP cheats involved, unless you consider modern knowledge and being filthy rich as cheats. The vibe of the story is similar to that of Nigotta Hitomi no Lilianne, Honzuki no Gekokujou, and Demon Girl, among other titles of the same genre. They all centre a toddler or child in their growth phase and have little time skips with its major focus being the struggles and shenanigans of having an ***** mind with a child’s body. The part I liked most about this story is how all the characters are shady in one way, shape, or form. The darkness lurking underneath the funny interactions of the characters and the protagonist’s occasional solliloquy about her past life(s) adds a twist to the cuteness and crazyness of the story, and I’m looking forward to the chapter where the protagonist decides to leave everything behind only to find out that she didn’t have to because her past had been changed and could no longer repeat itself. I really enjoyed the story, though I do hope that the protagonist would get more assurance that she is indeed very much loved and needed by her family. That trauma ran so deep it plagued her for three lifetimes, sigh. Good work, author, and keep writing if you can help it (but don’t work too hard, and take breaks whenever you want)!
