This is such a great story! It is fun to read and very interesting. However, there is a major flaw (in my opinion). When the mc gets to the first sect, she meets another little girl who falls in love with her. The mc reciprocates the feelings a little, and her mother gives her okay if things develop between them. Very soon after this the ml is introduced and decides he is going to marry the mc. I did not read past chapter 70, so I am not sure how the story ends, but, by that point in the story, the mc had decided to pursue the ml. Introducing a yuri love interest that was super cute and enjoyable only to throw it in the trash immediately afterward and replace it with a traditional overbearing and arrogant ml love interest was too much for me. It is such a shame because, other than that, this story was right up my alley... As I said before, I did not finish this story, so things may have corrected themselves. I did skim some of the later chapters, and it seems like she either loses both of them or sticks with the ml. Either scenario is enough to make me leave this story.

I don’t know why people think that’s fucking romantic. It’s so reused and generic that I really just want to scream and rip my hair out. This would’ve been a more unique story in general if she reciprocated the girl’s feelings and made it yuri. Cultivation stories with yuri is so rare nowadays it’s devastating. I have to search every nook and cranny just to find that it’s either not translated, or I’ve already read it. I think male leads in cultivation stories like these are the problem. Mostly. It’s more the author themselves and how they literally yuri bait us readers just to dump the girl and have the protag date a guy who is a controlling f*cking ass that tried to kill her when they first met. It’s not romantic at all. Girlies be stupid to think that a guy who tried to kill you without knowing your identity and is an arrogant asshole is romantic and sh*t like, no. Get your mind out of the gutter, if you date anyone who is like that I guarantee that it’s going to be an abusive relationship. I never even dated and I can still tell good from bad. Big oof for me to waste my time here. Thought it was yuri. Got baited. And now I fucking hate people who yuri bait then dump the FL just to make it a horrible Protag x Arrogant ML who lusts and will subdue the Protag. Back to hunting for more yuri again I guess....

Mark_Anthony_1:I have been stewing over this novel for the last couple of days. This surprised me because I usually do not have such a visceral reaction to novels like this. After much thought, I realized that I felt this way because of the manner in which the ml was introduced. The reader's first image of him is when he tries to kill a little girl in her sleep. He never tried to find out who his target was, nor whether or not she deserved to die. He was paid to do it, so he intended to do it without thought. This horrendous person gets to be the love interest of the girl he tried to kill in cold blood? How can that ever be acceptable?

And like you said, it was right up my alley. That just adds to the pain of being betrayed by the author huh. :’(
