i discovered this book pretty late, and I feel really bad I didn't get to know this book earlier, or ur books actually . I've read so many novels that they hv come to be so predictable to the point i get bored so quickly i got worried Abt myself. Ur books, not only this coz I think if am not wrong this must be the 4th or 5 th novel i've read from u and they all hv a really unique and super interesting plot. Definitely different from my usual and the characters with their development is so so so good and refreshing. I love that they are realistic something more relatable, I hv no issue with fiction or fantasy I look them but all ur books are really a breath of fresh air and i've given myself the task of reading all of them. Thank you for the great novels and I really really really love ur writing.

I never read any romance. Ever. Until now I suppose. I have sat through more than 300 minutes to binge on this from chapter 1 to Chapter 140 overnight until I finished the story, even though on the verge on fainting since I haven't had much sleep this past week attending my late classmate's wake. This is something very beautiful. The plot writing was done in a way where you would be able to anticipate certain things but at the same time still be surprised on how things unfold. Not the overly romantic and dramatic thpe of romance. This novel gives you it's share of wanting to jump off the cliff and having diabetes from how sweet and pure it really is. If I had to put a thing to relate to it, I think it would be dark chocolate. Its bitter. Yet its bitterness eventually makes you realize how precious and sweet it is. Its simple in terms of story. But this story requires a feat to pull off. Simple stories do not last long in the hearts and minds of people nowadays. Writing one that was tailored to a generation of readers without getting drowned in all the other so called romance is something worth of praise. The depth of flavor on how the author wrote it playes a big part of it all. Combined to her perseverance through the harsh times while she wrote this story, the lonelieness of the fledgelings, the anticipation for support that never came and the concept of witing for people without getting paid much. Mallory-san, this daoist pays his respects. You have written somehing completely without filler, in 500 words or so you forged a storytelling device and made it your own. You did not ruin characters and kept the consistency of their personas. You have made a world out of pen and ink and made it a gem in a society filled with people who do the same. You are awesome, Mallory-san.

This is quite a hidden gem, and I found it impossible to stop reading it once I got started. Luckily for me, I picked it up when there were already 96 chapters available. I was able to keep myself satisfied! I don't normally read these kind of stories... where there is "only" a romance fiction going on. Usually I prefer fan-fiction of established sci-fi or fantasy stories. That is why part of me is expecting our main character to suddenly pop out some superpower or ability and do cool things in the background his love interest isn't aware of. In other words, a part of me is expecting more of an action-adventure kind of novel. That is not happening in this strictly "romance" novel though. Instead, it's all about the story! The world background, character development and plot development is almost entirely believable. My only quibble is that I'm not so sure that a girl who was popular in her previous schools isn't so popular socially in college. Still, I can see how busy she has been. In the story she even explains she has had almost no time for a social life, other than spending time with our main character. He has a chance! I've been very tempted to mark this story as a "hidden gem", because it is one. In fact, once I am done with this review, I will add the tag to the review page. It's definitely a story I'd recommend to others, and I think it would appeal to a wide audience. We all have had that one person who we have admired, or had a crush on, but have been too shy or otherwise prevented by circumstance to approach and share our feelings. This story is well worth the read for that alone, but I've realized another reason why I like this story so much. In a way, this story has a bit of a "Superman / Lois Lane" relationship style to it. The main character is always in the background, supporting his love interest. But she doesn't really know who he is! He hides himself so well, while still revealing bits about himself and his personality. I get the feeling that one day she will know all his secrets, but when that happens he will either lose or gain everything he has ever wanted. I can't imagine the circumstances surrounding that moment, but who knows... maybe she will see him in a "Superman" kind of moment after all.... since he is her hidden hero.

Even After My Death

Jiang Ning was the true heiress of the Huo Family, lost and living outside. After being brought back by her family, her birth parents didn't like her, her cold-faced brother despised her, and her twin brothers would tell her to get lost from the home at the drop of a hat. Waking up alone in the hospital, she was diagnosed by the doctor with a terminal illness, yet her own family was busy throwing a party for the fake heiress. Jiang Ning was furious! She kicked these so-called family members one by one, sending them all flying! If they didn't accept her, she didn't care for them either! ...... Jiang Ning participated in a rural countryside live stream variety show. Her haters caught wind and came to greet Jiang Ning's entire family in the barrage of messages. But what they found was: Day one: Shock! Jiang Ning catches a thief on the street! A golden retriever runs over to help her. Day two: Jiang Ning snatches a child back from human traffickers with her bare hands! A bird publicly defecates on the traffickers' heads! Day three: Jiang Ning fights a criminal in a life-and-death struggle! A goose mocks them at the scene. Thief: "I had already finished stealing, and she still caught me. It's absurd." Murderer on the run for sixteen years: "You might not believe it, but I just came to buy a bottle of water, and she came up to me with a big right hook." A nice countryside live stream somehow turned into a legal synergy. The online audience crazily tagged the official police accounts: "Let's be honest, isn't she an undercover agent you dispatched?" "Jiang Ning's side job is entering the entertainment industry, but her main role is catching criminals, right?" A certain big shot attached a wedding photo: "Wife, mine."
