I was under the impression that he only 'tortured' Yun Che as payment for the sky poison pearl and samsara mirror. Without them Yun Che won't get strong at all, so he gave him some motivation in the form of hatred and revenge. Itachi intentionally waited until sasuke was watching to kill his parents and then 'tortured' him in the same way, all to make him stronger. Or was that a different ATG novel with almost the exact same premise?

Yun che would have gotten the evil gods profound veins if "itachi" didn't steal the sky poison pearl and samsara mirror, and "itachi" knows that. You can't WAAAY underpay someone for something and say you paid them for it. It's like in movies when gangsters offer you a dirt cheap amount of money to move out of your house and break your legs if you don't do it. He did the exact same thing to sasuke with the intention of making his stronger using hatred and revenge as motivation.

That's exactly what he is doing. He acts like a thug or stupid young master from chinese novels except he's actually strong because of the system. He doesn't think or act like "Itachi" at all. He's "motivating" yun che simply to drag him around to show off his accomplishments with the excuse that he needs him for something knowing that he wont be able to do anything against him.

I also don't see all the hype for torturing Yun Che every single damn ATG fic. And the MCs are often dicks just like Yun Che too. This is not only with ATG, every single fanfic people want to either kill, torture or cuck the original protagonist... Seriously, what the hell is wrong with people.

Oh my God you have no idea how right you are that's especially prevalent in cultivation fanfics they're always raving about how they hate the MC for Mass genocide or raping some girl but then they do something just as bad if not worse 20 chapters later and then say this is Justice for what the original MCwould have done even though it hasn't even happened yet he could have tried to change the original MC into a better person or at least as good as a person can get in a cultivation world

I also don't get why authors do that, I mean if you don't like the original MC then just ignore him, why torture and talk shit about being rightful and stuff when you do something as bad or more than what the original MC did? Imagine if people with this mindset really got powers in another world, then that world would surely be destroyed and in utter chaos. The hypocrisy is killing me.

Because it’s usually 2 situations. Either MC kills the original MC, because no one likes it when some asshole/rapist/schemer/whatever/protagnist is left alone just so he can make trouble for new MC later. Or 2. they became best buddies so hard they almost go have full on Anal Sex. Sure the author could go the ignore route, but then we usually still see the old MC like 50 chapters later doing some shit (which is not ignoring).
