This is that kind of novel where you need to prepare your tissues. The each characters have been throughly thought out and crafted, their backstories and their personalities are complex and very real. You will not hate a single character (except for that one XS). They're actions, even though wicked/evil, are based on their "experiences" and eventually, you'll come to understand how they became that way. Everyone is a victim and a perpetrator in their own small ways - even WY at some point became a perpetrator. This novel doesn't only focus on the main characters and also have side arcs and would show you how no one is perfect and and that your every action has thier consequences - even if the thought behind it is good/righteous, it might not fully mean that the result will be good. I feel strongly for the original MXY (not WY). His story will be in pieces and you will need to understand his pains by using others point of views, but I felt very sad for him. For me, MXY is the biggest victim here and everyone was his perpetrator and the biggest perpetrator that caused him his downfall is his own heart. I will never shut up about how much I am pained by MXY's life. It's a complete carnival of gore, horror, fantasy, mystery, A LOT OF ANGST, drama, humor, (warning for 'those kind' of peope) YAOI with R 19+ chapters, Xianxia, cultivation, deception, MC death, pining, AND A WHOLE FUCKING LOT OF SCHEMING, and resurrection. What more could you ask for?! I just wish that the translator(s) in this site will continue this❤
