In a parrellel  world, Earth lay host to many beings: Elf, Human, Dwarf, Orc, Goblin, Beastman, and other so called fantasy realm creatures. An one from our modern Earth would assume that this place is set in a medival setting. Orcs  clubing knights, goblins raiding villages, elves hiding in forest, and Dwarfs holed up in their minountain kee**. However if one was to think carefully, with beings living so long, elves and dwarves capable of lasting hundreds or even thousands of years, wouldn't their technology be far past ours. Imagine if Albert Einstein or another genius had lived to one thousand. The technology in this world was not crude, and by no means were small conflicts running rampant. Instead this place was filled with incredible feats of science, with cold fusion reactors creating near infinite energy, and massive motherships capable of ripping holes through astroid belts. On parallel planet, we find our protagonist, Arbel Droadbeard, the current lead technician for the united alliance. Arbel was raised as a mechanic after being found on an abandoned planet after the civil war errupted. This civil war was caused after the Galactic Emperor's death. He died suddenly, without a successor and without someone designated to take his place. Power crazed generals split the Army three ways. Each General was supported by political powerhouses that gave funding and resources, hoping to get the upper hand. After several years of fighting, the common populace had enough and a fourth power (The United Alliance) was born. although they had the most in terms of people, they quickly found that they lacked enough technology to contend in a real conflict. The United Alliance reached out to the people and raised many children to become researchers and technicians. None of these children stood out more than Arbel. Arbel had revolutionized what they conisidered warfare. New cannons capable of freezing the internal servers of the enemy ship, and with shields that seem impossible to breach unless the opposing ship was using a cannon that Arbel had developed. Arbel had delivered the era into and age of conflict where only his technology reigned supreme. The massive war for the galaxy was finished in 500 years, a considerably small time in terms of galatic warfare. The United Alliance had settled the conflict and would lead the galaxy into another long period of peace and prosperity. The leaders of The United Alliance now reconvene at the capitol planet of their galaxy, Earth. Arbel is a guest of honor seated in first row, as people are being called up to reciev their reward an recognicion. When it is Arbel's turn he is called up and is praised for his work. He recieves his medal and stately sum of cash. As a high Dwarf his life span is between 2000 and 3000 years, so his age of 538 can be considered rather young. Arbel begins to step down from the podium planning on how to spend what looks to be a promising life when a gunshot rings out. Arbel looks down feeling an intense pain in his chest, he sees a sizable hole in his chest, narrowly missing his heart. Arbel breathes a sigh of relief knowjng that the medical staff would be able to save him with their advanced medical proceedures. Arbel is starting to lose conciousness, and with the people panicing around him his world goes black. Only after this can a second gunshot be heard.
