Author is Neo Nazi. Novel is all about 'Superiority of Yellow Race( Han Chinese) and how White race is inferior (Westerners)' and like all Chinese novels there are 'Japanese' villains all over the novel. The novel is nothing but Author's attempt to earn Chinese Credit-Points. There are three super powers in this novels namely China, West and Russia. India and Middle East forms Second Class powers, Vikings(Nords) and African nations third class powers. Author tries to convince in every way possible to audience how only Chinese Gods are Superior.

you'd think Qidian would pick novels to translate that don't disgrace and disregard their target audience.

Yeah, I usually don't mind their nationalist speech, it's like how the British love to flaunt a pompous monarchy more as nationalist symbol than a form of governement, there's nothing inherently wrong with that. The problem is that the authors fall into superiority complex by degrading others or downright racism. Since this is an international plataform, I think that Qdian should be more attentive to that.
Actually it's not all about china being superior, your exaggerating, I've only seen like a few times where it mentions it, and even then, who cares? Its a chinese novel that was written for chinese people, so the author catered to the consumers. And chinese are pretty patriotic, just like most countries, even if people don't say it alot will still think the country they're born in is pretty great. If you don't like it, just give a proper review, don't exaggerate the facts

Nah man, I read up to the mid 400s and racism becomes the main plot line. Instead of fighting the collective human races enemy lets wail on anyone that's not of the supreme Chinese race. Lmao.
