There’s no other way to rate this trilogy but a High 5! True love, friendship, and family were truly focused. The characters are immortals but we can see the emotions we normals have, the fear of being unloved, the happiness of feelings reciprocated, the worldly satisfaction of expressing one’s feelings, among all others. I envy how the Author simply describes the world geographically. A best novel to read!

I love reading novels. Once I've seen one that interest me I made sure to read it - read it fast till the end like I want to stop the world around me leaving me and my novel... However, I dislike web novels, feels like its burning my eyes of too much use of technology... But when I started reading The Alchemist, everything changes, now I cannot put my mobile phone down and cant wait to read the succeeding chapters. I love it, it's like watching a series in Netflix or Amazon. It starts with a single male and female lead and the story continues introducing exciting personalities, one by one and how each lives touch one another understanding the importance of each role and how well they have been characterized by the author. It's never boring nor dragging. Its everything you wanted - love story, action, mystery, family oriented, strategy, fantasy. Read it to believe it...and you're gonna love it!!!

Absolutely love this book! Also love how it continues in another book in the middle....pay attention when reading because the author let's you know about the other books. I would love to see this book turned into a Netflix series! I love all the characters and every scene is described perfectly also love the naughty scenes haha. Clarity about this novel: This is like the whole 7 Harry Potter books packed under one. It means, the book "The Alchemists" is a compilation of 4 stories that are connected, but can be read as a standalone. It's not one story dragging for 1000 chapters. Each volume has around 250 chapters. GENRE: It is mostly slice-of-life about immortal people in the modern world with Volume 1 leans more on romance, Volume 2 more action/adventure, Volume 3 more drama and comedy, Volume 4 revenge drama. AGE RESTRICTION: Volume 1 is pretty safe, but from Volume 2 onwards there are quite a few mature scenes (graphic sexual scenes between loving couples), no rape nor angst of that kind. The sex scenes are done in good taste. WHO WILL ENJOY THIS BOOK? If you liked a slice-of-life story with a twist, interesting 3-dimensional characters, love for family, a pinch of fantasy, and don't mind a roller coaster journey called life.. you might find this book your cup of tea. VOLUME 1 The 438-year old Alchemist clan leader was never in love, until he met the only woman who couldn't care less about his good looks and massive wealth. And thus, for the first time in his life, he had to woo a woman. She seemed to only think about money. VOLUME 2 The world's most feared assassin was an immortal but he didn't know he was one. OK, time for a shameless review from the author herself. I wrote this novel in English in early February 2019, and quickly realized that my English is not proficient enough to write a novel, so I sadly switched to my native language, Indonesian. Once the novel became so popular and amassed a good following in Webnovel Indonesia (current rating is still 4.9 from 2600 reviews), I gathered my courage to translate this novel into English and hired editors to help me. Reading "your grammar sucks" in the comment section is one of my biggest fears in life, so I set aside some fund to pay editors. My poor heart cannot take harsh criticism too well, therefore I try to mitigate the risks.... BAHAHAHA. I do hope the novel meets your expectation and can be enjoyed properly in English. If you still see errors here and there, please let me know nicely in paragraph comments, I'll do my best to quickly amend/revise them. Authors and editors are, after all, humans. And to err is human. When I went back to translating this novel into English, the original was only starting the second volume. I didn't know how Volume 2 will go, if it's going to be awesome or if it will suck, I was ready to just post the first volume in English and end it there, but apparently Volume 2 gained so much love from the Indonesian readers, MORE THAN volume 1, that I feel I would be doing the English readers injustice if I didn't give them the second volume too. So... here we are, now, already mid Volume 2. I hope you will give this book a chance and read up to the second volume, because it is one of the most intense and passionate books I have ever read, and I read a lot (sorry for being shameless here). The book is multi-genre (modern fantasy - scifi - romance - action), there is a bit of everything in a good dose, and it has even a tinge of humor here and there. OK, here we go, the real review: VOLUME 1: Starts with romance, with a flawed female lead who was so beautiful but poor and lonely. She grew up an orphan and was often bullied by rich girls in her school that she became an ***** with insecurities, low confidence, and severe trust issues. Enter, the perfect man who never found love and treated women as mere f*ck buddies and dated different girls every month for over 400 years. He was a 438 year old immortal who had piled up wisdom, knowledge and wealth for centuries. He fell head over heels for the insecure girl with trust issues because NO WOMAN had ever said no to his perfection. He kept chasing and doing everything for this girl, and she kept evading him and after they were together, she kept breaking his heart because of her insecurities and trust issues. The Alchemist clan members and their internal conflicts were also introduced and resolved. You will meet many interesting characters and visit Asia, America, and Europe, and read some (useless but interesting) trivia I've collected so far. Volume 1 is lighthearted and relaxing. XD VOLUME 2: What happened when an immortal didn't know that he was an immortal and after his 40th birthday he realized that he still looked like he was in his 20s? 80th birthday came he still looked in his 20s...? And then his 94th birthday came... he still looked in his 20s...? He didn't know anyone or anything to explain his condition, so he thought, maybe I'm the victim of some crazy experiment during Hitler time... He was a broken man who grew up hating humans, and all he wanted to do was destroy the war-loving race who treat nature badly and allow only the good, the strong and the intelligent to walk this earth. He did sound like ****ed up, I know. But remember, he was broken. What happen if the broken man fell in love with a perfect girl who was immortal like him, but she had to hide her identity because Alchemists shouldn't disclose to regular people that they are immortals. As the pampered daughter of the wealthiest and most powerful Alchemist families, she was the definition of perfection. The girl thought she fell in love with a regular human, because the man who also hid the fact that he is an immortal for fear she would think he was a freak. She wanted to bring him to her family, but his scary outlook on life was really what her family was against. So, the game of hide and seek began. I haven't written Volume 3, but I hope it would be good too. I'll post another review once I know what Volume 3 will be like. BOTH VOLUME 1 & 2 HAVE HAPPY ENDINGS, but be prepared for an intense volume 2. Things need to break to pieces before they could be put together.

OK, it's time for my long overdue review. I've been following this book faithfully from the beginning, in the original language Indonesian, and fell in love with it. I even changed my username into the ML's name and committed all my power stones to this book ever since. Why? Because this book deserves it! Constant update of 2 chapters per day (checked); Lovable characters (checked); Twists and turns and unexpected events (checked). It's crazy! No one can predict what will happen next! Interesting storyline (checked); Grammar seems okay too. I rarely spot errors. The author has traveled a lot and it can be seen from the details she put into her story when she described certain places or people. The story felt so alive, like watching a movie before your eyes. This is a gem. More people should read this. Thank you author, for your hard work. I love you!

Why cant i find the indonesian version? 😑 Guys, you should give this novel a try, the idea is fresh and different than any typical 'CEO' novel out here and the background of the story is also nice! Im wondering the truth about Casper! He has so many name ! Is he a vampire? Another shameless review from the author AFTER I have written Volume 1, 2, and 3. I have been writing this book for 14 months and keep introducing new characters throughout the MCs' journey. Many existing readers said the characters are lovable and grew on them. Volume 1, 2, and 3 have different MCs, their story is connected but you can read only Volume 1, or only Volume 2 and be happy with them because both stories are concluded and have proper endings. However, I'd suggest you to at least read Volume 2, before you read Volume 3. With that being said, it is best to read the story from the beginning, that's why I intentionally put them all under the same book. Volume 1 is quite short anyway, only 254 chapters and pretty light-hearted. It also has 175 FREE chapters for your reading pleasure. Below is the synopsis for the two first volumes. VOLUME1: The alchemist clan leader was a- 438-year-old man womanizer who was never in love, until one day he met the only woman who was not impressed by his good looks and massive wealth. Fueled by rejection, he decided that must have this woman no matter what. And for once in his life, he had to woo a woman. It was no easy feat because this woman just wanted to live a quiet life, worked hard and make money... (she actually seemed to only think only about money). VOLUME 2: What happened when an immortal didn't know that he was an immortal? He lived among regular humans who, one by one, died and leave him alone, looking like he is 25 when he was in fact 100 years old, thinking he was a victim of human experimentation during Hitler's time. He harbored resentment toward humans in general because he blamed them for his sufferings. He even decided to raise to the top and play God, further deciding who should live and who should die. The MC is an antihero until the very end, but if the world's most feared killer could turn his world around, surely there is hope for humanity, no?
