First I will go into the mechanics of the story, mainly focusing on the weak points of character design and the stability of updates. Now then; this is one of the best novels on the website. I am not exaggerating. This is an incredible story. However, some things are not perfect, namely the stability of updates and some of the character designs. Other than that it is extremely well written. If you are tired of RPG Isekai worlds with systems, where the main character is OP from the start, then this is for you. It is a refreshing telling with tropes. But the greatest tools within this story are the different perspectives and the foreshadowing. These really set it apart from other novels. Too many novels that I have read only focus on where the protagonist is, and not taking time shine light on factions or other individuals. The only thing that I dislike is how some of the characters began - some had a weak start but they have grown. As well, the stability of updates has dropped, but I think it is acceptable as Mobius still puts out 1-2 chapters per month. Recently Mobius has had a child, within the last two years I believe, so I think that this is excellent, but not perfect. But I understand his lessened stability, and so I am very grateful he is still continuing this series. Some of the characters seem to be one-note at first, but they have grown after time. Some characters which I would have liked to have read more of have not been dug into as much, but hopefully he will be going back over them. I will be going into spoilers now, so be warned. SPOILERS SPOILERS Some people have complained about the protagonist being stupid, which is fair that he has had almost no forethought during his journey, but I think that is part of his journey, which is great considering how he does gain powers and go through levels quickly. This is part of the character development the MC must go through. Most isekai protagonists have battles of power, which is moot since they are so overpowered. Right now there is a battle within the MC concerning his mind/soul/spirit. It has been done well so far. I would have liked to have seen more from his characters, especially the main cast of characters. This includes such things as them establishing their likes and dislikes, their interactions during meals, and maybe see some downtime for all of them. I would like to see one main character, Lily, where she does work on her alchemy or something. Maybe Sera, another main character, could be seen working on her archery. Sera could then compare her current self to how much she's grown, noting how much easier it is to pull back the bow and aim. Maybe a flashback could occur for Tal, and she thinks back on how she met one of her spirits. This would be really good. And now I will be going into my theories on how the story will progress. These are theories that I have, and will probably be wrong. But I will use specific evidence from certain chapters. These will be major, major spoilers, so be warned. SUPER SPOILERS SUPER SPOILERS One, I think that Mike, the MC, was chosen by the Ancient Ones, and that the Ancient Ones sent the string of Fate to him to push him to the new world. My evidence for this are: there is no such thing as a free lunch, the Ancient One put him at a specific time, place and world, out of all of the infinite possibilities from uncountable realms, and there were too many coincidences around his summoning. One, there is no free lunch. So the Ancient One posed himself as a kind Samaritan, but I think that He, the Giant Space-Whale, planned it. There are infinite universes, and he put Mike in a world which was going to be destroyed soon, and a world in which the gods had already requested help from the Ancient Ones. I think that Mike is the help from the Ancient Ones. The Ancient Ones are sick of cleaning up the messes of the gods and their enemies. They aren't their nannies. So I think that the Ancient One sent Mike so that he could help the world in his own way, as he is trying to be impartial, since Mike is free from fate, and could save the world or lead it to its destruction. Also, when Mike was summoned, he was summoned near a predatory dinosaur monster, and so he ran away from it, toward a knight squadron. This squadron then repelled the beast, moving towards their camp. But they were ambushed by enemies, and were only saved by the same dinosaur monster which had chased Mike, and then tracked after him. This ended up saving most of the squad. Also, while one of the knights was on his deathbed, Mike saved him using healing magic, which he didn't know how to do. Mike even comments in a later chapter that he doesn't know why he didn't just transfer mana when he tried to heal these knights. Morris, one of the knights he saves, happens to be the son of one of the greatest strategists of the day. The injuries that Morris received force him to travel elsewhere. This leads Mike to end up acquiring the 'Hero' title. All of these things can not be coincidence. I think the Ancient One influenced these events, and chose a spot where Mike could change the outcome of the world's destiny. Thank you for reading. And Mobius if you read this, don't try to change the stuff you're doing.
