This story needs editing quite badly. It is readable, but verging on headache worthy. The author mixes up gender pronouns and tenses in almost every sentence. Sentence structures are routinely awkward. The story has started put pretty well, but I'm probably going to do to the issues already mention, but I will give it a couple !ore chapters..

Thank you for reading and giving my book a good review. This is an original story of mine. I started it mainly to cure my depression from having a job I don't love but feeds me. I'm actually disappointed with the current society for not giving equal opportunity between men and women, although it is my fault for choosing a profession dominated by men 😂😂 (I'm just ranting here...don't mind me).. So I apologize for the slow update (I'm writing impromptu every time I have a break). Since they threw me on the office job and not in the field, I had a lot of time to read and daydream and thus giving life to this book. 😂😂 I'm just thankful for the current technology and online literature society for giving someone like me a platform to express and realize my childhood dream which is to write stories. Being a writer is a gamble and impractical if you aren't rich after all. 😔 Anyway, writing heals my soul and heart so I will continue to write this book. I'll be honest, I simply skimmed over the chapters. Sorry about that but I did like the few contents that my eyes picked up. The whole reason that I am here is because of the synopsis. It captivated me and I've been voting this ever since. I mean holy fudge! You go girl! That's right! There are times when love is not enough and we need to know the moment where we finally choose our self. I'm just waiting for the chapters to accumulate to start binge read this. P.S. I hope the emperor cried a river full of tears.

I also discovered this today, I was randomly clicking novels to read the synopsis and this one got me intrigued. Best thing I ever did. Lol Xulian is pretty innocent, but would probably willingly scam people for more money after treating them. 😂 I laughed when she realized that she saved the Emperor and could have scammed him four times more than the actual amount for her treatment. Lol Feng Emperor, he's really cold and cunning. What a better way to smack your scheming bros in the face by bringing an Empress with a strong background. Her Lin Mercenary Clan is pretty cool, feared for being one of the best clans at martial arts and a founding pillar of the Empire. I hope I'm not spoiling anything, but hope you guys give this novel a try~

I absolutely adore this story. The FL is a talented physician and is an expert in poison. She's also a martial artist, a real beauty with brains and brawn. The pace of the story is great, with proper intro to her family, her meeting with the emperor and her subsequent relationships in the palace. If you like gutsy heroines, this book is for you.

I am really grateful for your support to my novel. And I apologize that I cannot give mass release since I didn't stock up the chapters first before publishing. I do impromptu writing per day which is not advantageous for me since I have other jobs. So I'll be on hiatus for a while a stock some chapters first. I don't want to give you a low quality story just so I can publish every day. Some may get upset about this but I can only apologize 😓😓😅😅 Also I want to go back to reading for inspiration.
