The author agreed that the protagonist does stupid sh!t and gets saved by plot armor, not even bothering to be carefull afterwards. If it weren't so, the author would have said something to disagree, you sound like a white knight going to some internet girls defense the moment anyone says anything other than 'she's beautiful'
