What's wrong with BL, btw?

For me there's nothing wrong about it, but some readers who rated this novel thought otherwise...its better to ask them not me 😆

People don't like reading a novel with gays as the lead, some have an extreme fetish for reading novels with gays as the lead, and some don't care either way, we all have our own tastes and opinions, mostly without logical reasoning to back them up.

You’re stupid, basically what you’re saying is that people can’t have an opinion that is different from yours, just because you like BL doesn’t mean everyone does, actually the majority probably doesn’t like it considering homosexuals are the minority

Probably late but I'd like to reply to your comment. You have tilted logic Sir, you can like or dislike genres BUT you can't rate a novel that YOU DIDN'T EVEN READ 1 star or leave a bad review of it because you seem to think it's gay or BL. For example I don't like harems but I don't go leave 1 star reviews on novels that have such tags or on a novels that in my opinion are harems even though they don't have tags. So please explain how exactly this is an opinion that we should understand and not mindless and irrational thinking?

Correct me if im wrong, but I dont believe this novel has a BL tag, so i can understand how people could get annoyed after reading 100+ chapters and then BL suddebly appears, and i dont support people leaving 1 star reviews for a book they didnt read, but i doubt all of them didnt read it

I understand what you mean but the problem, we have here is that, this novel does not have bl tag because there's no gay romance/bl, so I don't think this kind of logic applicable here. The biggest 5head thinking I can make is that maybe,maybe some of them read the novel and for them the relationship between 2 main heroes is too gay. So that's just means they're homophobes 🤷

As far as i remember, as this did happen 3 months ago, i believe there is no legitimate BL but there is hinting and such, and just because people dont like to read BL makes them homophobic? Thats extremely stupid, thats like saying if straight dudes dont watch gay **** then they must hate gay people

But gay **** is labeled as gay ****, so there's no deceiving there and if you're not into it, you don't watch it, especially as they're performing sexual acts and the content specifically labeled so. So I reckon people who are into straight stuff and don't hate gays, don't go there and write comments of how disgusting it is. Most commenters disliked it, because of gay factors or bl, not because romance between them is bad or some of them has bad characters or story is crap but just because, it's two dudes.So like I can understand that it's not your cup of tea to read romance about gay dudes, lesbians or whatever. But you don't leave a bad star rating only because of this. It's the same as leaving a bad review because a guy decides to romance a girl but she's Black, Asian or name it and you absolutely can't accept it. It should be only a white girl,period. It's the same energy. I wouldn't have said anything about them being homophobic,if only their dislike in comments to the novel being somehow gay wasn't that big. If you don't understand it yet ,I will give you a more concrete example, how these reviews look from my side. Man, he/she is flirting too much with a Black girl/boy. It's too much for me I can't take it. 1 star review. Is this racist or not? The biggest problem I have with such people is that they leave bad reviews/rating only because of the gender/colour but not the development of the story,characters, things that matters.

The thing is, it does matter to a lot of people including me, for example no matter how good a book is, if it has harem, i drop it, so saying that it doesnt matter for anyone just because it doesnt matter for you is narrow minded

So you drop it, the story is fantastically good, the only problem that a girl/dude is banging lots of girls/dudes and it's not your thing. So you go and leave a 1 star rating or what? And not 4 stars? -1 star for harem or -2 stars, if it's affects story too much? Also, I want to know your opinion on the example I made, is it similar or not. You also kinda brushed off a lot of other points I made. If you don't like it tilted towards the gay side , then you say in your review the story is good, the development is good , everything is fantastic but man I wanted it to be a romance with /some girls name/ and not /some boys name/ So 4 star but wanted it too go other way, This kind of review is not homophobic, also I would not compare disliking vehemently gay romances because people are gay and disliking vehemently harem romances is the same.

There's nothing wrong about BL, some people just doesn't like that type of genre because they're straight.. like me.

haha it makes me laugh how you dramatize and exaggerate the topic to make people who don't like that kind of thing look bad or for people to be seen as exaggerated, someone doesn't have to kill your family for something like that to disgust you, what happens is that you are numb as if that is something normal when in reality it is not.
