Another stupid rape story. Shen mc was not impregnated by ye ling ml in an Accident, more like in a rape, exactly a rape. What the f*ck is going on with chinese authors romantizing rape? Qidian is turning into the place where you find the most rape romance on the web. Mc goes to work for ml, instead of having a whirlwind romance with consensual sex then she goes back home to find out shes preggo, here she is a worker then got raped by mc then finds out shes preggo. Where the hell was the romance in that ? I think this novel is wish fulfillment for millions of materialistic chinese women who wants to get their hooks into a handsome billionaire by having his child at any cost even rape. For the rest of western readers if you rape someone no matter how rich or powerful or famous you are you will go to court and then jailed if guilty. Say no to future raping romance from qidian.

Gotta say this story is pretty amazing if u skip the part where he brutally raped her and she was unconscious for 4 days, if u skip the parts where he forcefully kisses her till she starts bleeding a lot, if u skip the parts where he abuses her, if u skip the parts that he throws stuff at her, if u skip the fact that he’s a psychopath, if u skip the path that he’s following her around because he wants her to give birth to a girl for him, if u skip the part that he’s an abusive possessive brute. It seems like there will always be this trend of authors romanticizing rape and also misconstruing ideas of mental illness. If a person kills someone and happens to be “mentally ill” they still need to be help accountable. There are certain degrees of illness and actions. Even when someone with a bipolar disorder gets mad and says or does things that they don’t mean out of paranoia, a schizophrenic episode or/and etc, they still recall, or when told what they did, can interpret what they said or did was wrong after their episode is over. You don’t HAVE to forgive someone to harms you. And that’s messed up that there are always these he harms you but loves you or she harms you but loves you type of relationships. Don’t stay when someone repeatedly hurts you. That is unhealthy and wrong. “Oh he didn’t mean to hurt me in a way that’s irreparable, so I’ll forgive him and stay and let him continually harm me”. No! He hurt you, not his fault? Yes it is, still think it isn’t, let him get help, but you don’t need to stay during, you have no obligation. And people with power forcing those to stay with them, freaking debasing and complete Stockholm syndrome. Come on, if these men weren’t good looking, or told to us that they were, you would call this novel, and many others like it, trash. Author I guess has good flow. I hope they continue writing novels, but maybe with all in all better messages. And no, rape is not an opinionated thing,and I’m not butthurt about the novel. It’s just wrong all in all. Author, you obviously have ideas and skills, go against disgusting tropes.
