Abuse of Magic Dropped @ chapter 100. Where to start? “In a world where the System is a secret” Joseph, who is seven years old, is told about the System by his father William. William used the System to become a wealthy Merchant and all around good guy. Joseph after being told about the System (7 yrs old) wishes for the System to make him the most powerful mage in existence. WHAT??? Please don’t get me wrong, because I can’t do what the author can do. I suck at writing, however I absolutely excel at reading. As a grandfather of an eight year old boy. I could never imaging subjecting him to the horror of giving him his own System (Genie). Joseph then gives the System to a slave girl (owned by William) he just met, because why??? I personally could not enjoy this story as it made me question the logic and flow of this world. The actions of its character and their accomplishments only served to make my eyes roll. I sincerely hope the Author continues to write and hone his or her skills. I look forward to reading a story I can enjoy in the future. I can recognize this author has talent and wish Him/Her luck.

spoilers because i'm asking a rather specific question. I have a few comments that because i'm confused. 1 Stella is the only around him who isn't a slave. she is a servant the only person he can't order around and can thus befriend. I thought the author did a pretty good job in the chapter in question that MC's biggest fear/concern is losing the people he has in this life because his previous lives he always lost everyone important to him. I thought the MC was manipulating the FL to stay with him by giving her the system. He wasn't doing it consciously or maliciously because he simply wasn't capable of thinking it through at the time. But I did think his decision made since within the context of the story.

Still giving the system to someone else is a huge no for me. Either call me hypocrite or what but I prefer when the advantage of the MC stay with him and he doesnt go around giving free stuff. I dont like MCs who give such huge secret to others just because he is scared. "I am scared you may starve", teach him to cook food not just giving it straight away. I just absolutely hate l MCs giving their advantages that only they have to other, no matter the circustamnce.

Unless maybe the system is only 1/5 or 1/10 as powerful as the MC's system. But if it's the same then NO

He gave this op system to a girl he met less than a month? That makes sense to anyone? Also shes not human but another creature from a past life who were supposedly lovers. Their age is 7 and were getting this wild sub plot that doesnt carry thru

there are reasons for that but neither of the main characters find out about those reasons until later. the book is different than most in that we the readers don't get any extra knowledge the main characters don't get. so until they figure out what happened and why we don't know either. i actually like it as i find it helpful with the sense of immersion but you are free to dislike it as well. it is our opinions after all.

Stella is not a slave. The reason why he gets the System at his young age, why the System starts to favour him, and why he gives the System to Stella is all explained near the End of the Novel, where all shall be revealed. The Author did a fantastic job clearing up all the loose ends before the end of the novel.

About giving the system to a 7 year old kid... so? Does that make father of a main character a bad guy?? Nobles started training as knights when they were 8 years old, with parents fully knowing that their children would participate in slaughters, yet they still did it. So could it be that they did it in order to protect the children? Ever thought of that?

I understand what you're talking about, but I don't think it's an impossible thought process for the characters. It's just that the character's inner monologues are not explained well enough, which makes them seem stupid and irrational. I sincerely believe that in some set of circumstances that these decisions make sense. **SPOILER ALERT** The fact that Joseph and Sylva were fated through a certain magic spell explains Joseph's unconditional trust and irrational affinity to Sylva. The fact that a war is brewing between kingdoms explains why William would want to give the system to Joseph, for him to be able to protect himself in chaotic times. In today's (mostly) peaceful society, it obviously doesn't make sense for everybody to give a System to their children. However, you need to keep in mind that this is a mostly medieval world.

also a bit spoiler. Joseph at the time he gives the system to Stella realizes that he should stop and think about it more but does it anyway. You don't find out for another hundred chapters why he felt compelled to do so but there is a lot of sometimes subtle foreshadowing in some of the decisions he makes. bigger spoiler over a hundred chapters later you find out he messed with time in order to bring him and Stella together so a lot of the previous interactions he questioned before suddenly click. I thought it was really well done but you are free to have your own opinion of course.
