The pace of the story is super super slow. The story will be nice in the beginning(upto something like chapter 270) but gets disgusting as it goes on. The the MC also turns into one of those lucky b@stard only found in trash novels. This less than clever MC gets into very very sh*tty situations due to lack of cleverness , proper planning and carefullness but still comes out safe and sound because he is the "lucky b@stard".MC has a lot of plot armour(no more matter what crap he does he will remain the superb). I read upto 600 charpters in the raw and the MC is still not an official wizard. If you want to read this novel because you are a fan of "warlock of the magus world","age of adepts" or other magic novels with a clever MC, i suggest you stop reading this. Only those like a lucky MC who has everthing falling from the sky for him and with a lot of illogical plot armour will like this novel

You havent see anything yet. If you are irritated just at ch80, you might totally go mad by the time you reach ch200 (ofcourse the mc will nowhere be near the wizard level even by then)😆😆. I suggest you dont waste your time on this trash like i did (read till ch600 in raw and still weak, lucky b@stard plot armour MC).

I have been reading up on all of the novels recommended by others on reddit and other forums that were supposedly similar to WMW but honestly, they were all disappointing. I haven’t been able to find one novel that is on the same level as WMW. Maybe The Plagiarist’s other novels would be the only ones that can match up to WMW, although translation aren’t finished yet.

not really... i read that book currently in translation until 700 chapters (raw). it is nowhere as creative as the WMW. only 450 something are fun. i got bored later on.

Almost all of the Webnovels are like that unfortunately. There’s a Canadian fantasy writer, his books the Malazan Book of the Fallen in my opinion is the only series that can rival WMW in terms of complex storyline, schemes and characterisation. It is dark fantasy military type. Idk if you would like to try reading them? The first book is the weakest out of all the series and some people find it confusing because this author doesn’t force feed info to the readers, but keep going, it gets better.

Oh Ian Esselmont also authored another Malazan book of the fallen series but I find his version wasn’t as good as ones by Steven Erikson. But if you’re curious, you can try both versions.
