As an avid fan of this author's work, I have been looking forward to this story for ages! Like a Ray in My Night is an expansion of a short story that appears in one of the author's other novels called 'Lovely Writing System'. The story, as much of it as there is now, is very well-written like always. The opening scene is very gripping and as the story goes on, we are sucked further into the world and the plight of our main character. It's obvious from the first chapter itself that the world is crafted very well and the flow of the story just pulls you in. Since I have already gotten a little taste of the two main characters from the short story, I can say that they are very likable and have their own distinct personalities. I'm not sure how the story is going to proceed in the novel, but I have complete faith in the author's storytelling skills. All in all, it's definitely worth a read, especially if you're into cultivation novels with BL romance like me~

This story is very good. It's very sweet and fluffy. The MC is as cute as a bunny and he's very innocent. But I can see there is more depth in his character. The ML is very kind and good to the MC which is rare and appreciated. I hope it will not change and that they will keep on being sweet together. The relationship is so pure! It has been very lighthearted and funny until now. But I'm also excited to see how the prophecy and other foreshadowings will come out in the future. The world-building is good and I'm thankful it did not start right away in the beginning but gave us more time to like and care about the characters and world. The characters get more depth as the story continues and it is nice to see their journey and development. Especially the MC. I like how the ML teaches him to protect himself and be independent instead of making him dependant on him. That's unique! Thank you author! I am looking forward to more chapters and where this story will go ^_^

A great story that I expected to see since I appeared in "Lovely Writing System". The story is interesting and entertaining, let's wait to see if the author will continue using the one-shot background or changes will appear, however I hope the author continues with the good work so far. Love it! It's sweet how they are smitten with each other. The world background it's lacking bit I think that's ok with how many chapters has.

Although a hard working disciple, Yun Bei Fen manages Master Baili better than Master Baili can manage Yun Bei Fen's cuteness, and the fact that Fen'er has one driving desire, to adore Mei Chao Bing. The author weaves a compelling tale, with characters that draw you into their world. Adore the ridiculous situations & sometimes outrageous behavior, that makes me laugh.

It is a great story. Am already reading it in the wattpat and it it worth your time. The main characters are greatly crafted. The plot is great too. And oh yes there is an extra with 42parts which is ongoing in wattpat. It is hilarious. It gives us a glimpse of main character childhood with his three troublesome senior martial brothers together with their master. Also worth reading.
