I dropped this book around 200ish chapters in. In the beginning, I really enjoyed reading since the overall concept appealed to me (first 100 chapters were enjoyable to read) Later on it just became worse and worse. First, the male leads are just aghhhh. Li Lei was nice, but honestly just turned into an asshole. For more spoilers: FL falls into a trap by kids which leaves her in the dark; causing FL to have a mental breakdown about Pei Ziheng (y'know, dark solitary confinement and all that jazz) So FL is basically trapped in her mind and isn't sensing or making out what's happening in reality. "Don't leave me! Pei Ziheng! Help!" Here you have Li Lei coming in seeing her in that state. "Oh wait? You're saying another guy's name? Let me try to rape you twice then since I'm jealous!" That basically just makes it worse because now FL is thinking that Li Lei is just like Pei Ziheng. Pei Ziheng? Yeah, everyone can agree that he's a douchebag. He is much nicer and tries to make amends with FL in her other life but he's still just bad. Before even meeting FL in her other life, he would forcefully take girls who remind him of Xia Wei. He really does love her, but he's just so twisted. Also, FL's character is just so random, it's like if you would have mixed in all the personality cliches and just shoved it down her throat. I know that she she's suffering from stockholm, but that doesn't account for her overall "personality" One day she's cold and arrogant, another day she's nice and caring. It's just inconsistent. What really broke the straw for me was the part where Li Lei tries to introduce Xia Wei to his family. Like damn, everything there was just a mess. This, of course, is just my personal opinion. If what mentioned above is what you like reading, by all means, read. Just trying to save the trouble of waiting for updates for this book only to be disappointed with what the story will become.

Fortunately, I haven't started reading this. I seriously hate those overbearing ML with almost psychotic character. It's laughable that others think that it's cute or sweet but I think if that kind of guy became the villain, they will think he's horrible or even disgusting LMAO

[More spoilers] . . . He has a psychotic brother that wants to kill him and everyone. Like super crazy. Kills and tortures people and puts them up on display. Because of him introducing her to his family, his brother finds out about her and basically "kidnaps" her. Tries to kill her to put her in his collection of "things his brother liked" Li Lei begs his grandfather to help him because he's weaker than his brother. His grandfather doesn't approve of her because she's too weak and so he doesn't lift a finger to help out. Li Lei ends up bargaining with his grandfather to save her and agrees to break up and stop talking with her. After that, the story goes to FL and Pei Ziheng. Bla bla 4 years later she sees Li Lei again.

I agree on FLâs personality, it kinda turns me off. Iâm reading this novel up to date, chapter 100, and her inconsistent personality and mood puts me off. Usual trope ofc, she could be strong, tsundere, weak and kind. She basically adjust depending on the degree author throw plots at her lol And Pei Ziheng is probably one of the reason why a reader would put this book down.

I feel the same way as you do. I feel so freaking frustrated reading this. Li Lei is so freaking nice yet the FL took it for granted and sometimes she is so nice to ML and other times she is so freaking cold. And It irritates me seeing her always comparing Li Lei to Pek Ziheng. I got that she is so traumatic abt her past with Ziheng but 100+ chapters already and she still could not move on.

I mean what the heck is this, then the whole chaps we read before were just.... Useless, nonsense,... And I wasted my precious SS on that..!! I wish I would have read this spoiler before.. But it's better than to get mad at last at least I am dropping it on a good end
