Hi, everyone. The Author here. I'm sorry for taking time with the updates. In my excuse, I'm not a professional author merely a newbie so I have to deal with the outside world first before I can write.
Anyway, all of you who have been reading and following this story, thank you so much for your patronage. I hope I can fulfill your expectations and really make this story more interesting.
The novel is a mish-mash of everything since the main character is after all an immortal with superpowers. Her life experiences, however, are those of normal people: the man she loved disappointed her, the second man cheated on her, and she's a single mom bringing up her kids in a world which is far from the norm.
Add to that, she has to lead a bunch of legendary warrior women now reduced to living mortal humdrum lives because there's no more war anywhere to engaged them.
An Ning is a very special character for me. I started this novel basically from the point of view of a woman who was basically flawed from the beginning. She grew up with the guy she eventually married, a guy who loved her as a friend and who would probably have been happy being her husband if he had not fallen in love with a stranger during his wedding day.
I wanted An Ning to understand the world around her, about love, marriage and relationships from that point of view, the point of view of Richard, her former husband.
I think that's the reason why An Ning has such a blase attitude about romance. She doesn't view Richard and Valerie as out and out villains because she understood destiny and chance. She would tell you she practically hounded Richard to marry her and when he did and he ended up disappointing her, she wasn't as bitter as she thought she would be. Angry, yes. Bitter, no.
An Ning, however, is no pushover. She can forget, yes but forgive,no, and that's where the main conflict of the rest of the story will focus in the following chapters.
Let me tell you a secret: I don't know who the Male Lead is either. I thought it was going to be Han, that's why I wrote him as the perfect alternative for An Ning but An Ning had other ideas. She basically rejected him and was actually happy when he was nowhere to be found on the months before she gave birth to the twins. That's how headstrong and special this character is for me. She wanted to explore her options so I'm letting her. She'll tell me and you eventually who's the guy she has her heart really set into.
In the meantime, let's follow her adventures, shall we?
