Hello! Thanks for comment! Of course he did good things but in the hero's view. It's a matter of perspective. Just to imagine that the Sheng Family was a powerful and oppressive family that oppresses the daughter of the concubine and intimidates the weak, which is very common in the novels that talk about Ancient China. Sheng Shuyi of the book would be the daughter of the first wife, who is beautiful, rich and spoiled (apparently), who wants to marry the 'hero' at all costs, but the poor boy is in love with his childhood friend, is Sheng Shuyi's half-sister, who is the daughter of the oppressed concubine.
