Well, i wrote that review long time ago. Since then i have read a lot. Anyway, not every novel is good with that writing type because if we see just the mc perspective we are not seeing the whole picture (that why didn't like it first, but i am good i have read few good one)

That's is the appeal to first person writing, that you get to see the mc's perspective on the world and unfolding story.

Plus you get to listen to the MCs insane ranting, what's not to love?

Hahaha woo** now I feel bad, these are my favorite ones as I can better feel involved in the story rather than being a passive observer. And that way you can also be surprised by plot twists etc as with 3rd person you often already know about it :p

I personally prefer first person because any other form of writing leaves me detached from the main character like, how they think/ contemplate an issue

i wrote this 2 years ago, and i still by my words. the reason is there are very few good ones, and the rest is just turn like inner monologue!. anyway, the first person style needs a competence writer otherwise it makes very unpleasant reading experience.
