This is a great gamer style story. I like how Spencer isn't completely relying on his system like most of the other gamer characters. He also values his companions instead of seeing they as tools and resources. I will continue to read this novel until it finishes.

It might be a good idea for them to pick up a new ally who's ability brings him/her back to life with a stronger body every time he/she gets killed. The more damage done to the body the stronger the strength gain. The body should turn into a blood mist that reconstructs him/her in the nearest open space without cloths and the process should be so painful he/she goes berserk briefly. He/She should be a police/SWAT officer who is really good at and dedicated to their job. Maybe a little obsessed with his/her job and a little traumatized from some very painful deaths at the hands of looters and wild animals.
