I actually enjoy how different the novel is. And by making a useless mc ( you are awesome trevon, just gotta fool the rabbink) you give him plenty of room to grow, improve, and learn. This makes me look forward to how he grows and why. But in all honesty he will at most become a slightly less dumb perverted mc.(once again fooling the rabbink).
