This webnovel is an original creation by the author Natsuriayuko and is about the story of a sweet young girl called Yin, oh sorry, it is about the story of an ancient and deadly being in the body of a young girl. Writing Quality: 5/5 The author has a good grasp of the English language, including grammar and spelling, I have yet to notice a writing mistake and I can assume the chapters are checked frequently before release. Stability of Updates: 5/5 As of 14/07/2018, the Author frequently updates the novel, often uploading chapters daily and sometimes twice a day. The morning on the day this review was written, (14/07/2018), 3 chapters were uploaded, which is nice considering there was no chapter the day before. Moreover, the Author will take into account suggestions and ideas, improving his work and making amendments to the content in his story. One such example was when later on, there is a character labelled as 'S-Ranked', I brought this up in the discussion section and I wondered as to why a term often found in both games and Japanese novels was suddenly brought up in a story with primarily Chinese Wuxia and Xianxia cultivation terms, Natsuriayuko saw this and altered the term to 'First-Ranked Occupation', this was not a big deal, but it goes to show that on this site you can engage with the Author and provide suggestions, it goes to show that he is willing to listen. Story Development: 4/5 As of now, the direction the story is going in is unclear, all we know is this Yin has possessed the body of someone possibly very important or of status, which may bring complication later on. Yin, is making her way in becoming stronger and regaining her Primordial Yin body, which is funny considering all of the Yin Qi in the world was from her death as an ancient being. Character Design: 4/5 So far, as the novel has just started, the characters have not had much time to develop. The original character design is good and there are some likeable characters. Especially Yin, who is the main focus of this story. She is funny, sly and tends to make trouble for those around her. However it is shown that she has started to care for those around her, which is a nice development. However, she is brutal to those not in her immediate 'family'. What stops this novel from receiving 5 stars in this department is the fact that I personally disliked the way the 'First Ranked Assassin' was handled, we get little dialogue from her and she is quickly killed off. I felt that it would have been nice for a chapter to be about the Assassin fighting, this would also help solidify the World Background as we can get a glimpse into how they fight and how the cultivation works. This was a good opportunity to showcase the fighting style/action style that the novel will use and to show the power of the cultivation stage that both the Assassin and most of the people in Yin's surrounding is at. World Background: 3/5 There is not much to say about the development of the background of the world that Yin is currently staying at, however, the story and background behind who Yin was in the past and what she had achieved is very well thought out. As mentioned previously in the review, the Yin Qi (or 99% of it) within the world that is a staple within cultivation novels actually belongs to her in this novel, this shows how powerful she was in the past. She consumes a lot of Yin Qi early on in the story and she explains that his amount is like a drop in the ocean to what she once was, yet again hinting at how powerful she was. I have yet to see a story that has such a bizarre and interesting plot point as this one. Other than this, the story develops the sects well and the quality is very good. I feel that if I continue reading this novel, which I definitely will, there will come a time when I have to edit my review and update the rating. This is because there has not been much time to develop the world and it is unfair to judge a novel based of the first 50 chapters. Only when it reaches a 100, do I dare say that it is a good amount of chapters to make my final decision on the world building and character design. Conclusion: 4.2/5 In conclusion, I feel that the main driving force being this novel so far is not the action or story but in fact the main character and her hilarious antics. There have been a few times so far where I have cackled like a hyena while reading this novel and I cannot get enough of Yin and her complete disregard for everything serious happening around her, completely stuck on the fixation of playing and manipulating people for both her and her friends/family's own benefit, as well as just for her own amusement.
