Starts out good. MC got a system, Missing parents, powerful relatives. You know, typical cliche. But all of it changes, because you enjoy the mech building MC who progresses fast. You enjoy the story, the world building, and mostly the mech that gives people chills. Not so much as characters, no only the hair raising mech mech that only MC can make is what we are here for. Typical author that loses his sight. There is no system after about 200 chapters, way too many characters, and the war arc sucks. Why do you introduce that big of arc, and continue with a sub arc that's way too long. And the mindset of MC makes me wonder, did he have ANY kind of personality? None whatsoever. He is decisive most of time, but indecisive wimp when author wants him. He is smart, but not so smart decisions when story suits it. His thoughts on neural interface(thats how pilot use mecha) is hypocritical. Hey, yes I opened bag of worms. I think this is topic like infinity war that fans made up reasons for writers laziness. Readers come here and open up philosophical debate for what is authors attempt to make MC relate to how humanity should think on brain manipulation. No, its not what book advertises itself to be, you may like beginning, and hate as it progresses or vice versa. I hated it.

Yeah, the vandal arc is ridiculously long, we get 400 chapters of more or less what the story promises to be, a guy designing mechs and running a mech company, followed by 500 chapters (AND STILL COUNTING) of the guy going for years and years through some war, where 80% of all those years are spent doing philosophical debates and mental gymnastics to make his bad decisions seem less bad, while floating through space. I can not count how many chapters the author spends on the guy just ranting, a fictional character ranting, to himself, about fictional ****, mostly the same fictional ****, in an infinite loop. His 1 man philosophical debates never end, they just increase in volume as the story progresses, it does nothing to progress the story, it's not really character development anymore (I mean at the start they kinda were, where he had some major epiphanies and ****, but now he just rants and rants and doesn't reach any sorts of conclusions...) it's just like a bunch of filler text. Personally I think the story is somewhat bearable if you just skip over most of these mental gymnastics, and if you read 700 chapters of it you can't deny it's interesting right? The worldbuilding is pretty great... It doesn't happen until finally in like chapters 860-870 where we get to the part that this entire war arc has been building up towards... The climax is in sight, finally after all this time. But the end of his military career isn't, he's been promised a position in some super secret mech design team after his time with the vandals ends, god knows where that leads (another 400 chapters of philosophical debates maybe?) This whole military career thing is like a huge detour from the main story, the main plot. A detour so huge that it's got more chapters dedicated to it than the entire main storyline has had up till this point. Honestly, the problem isn't that the plot or story or anything is particularly bad, it's just bad writing, the author doesn't know how to pace his story at all.

I agree it was great at the beginning but somewhere in the middle the writing start to deteriorated. I was okay with it at first. Some sentences feels out of places or poor choices of words which makes it harder to read for me but I still excited about ves mech building including the spiritual stuff. And then it got worse. Everything got worst espcially the war arc. The plot is stupid, some New characters is pretty mediocre, most dialogue is bad, ves keep ranting about the same thing in different situations and the author is trying unrelated topic into story which piss me off. And I started to begin the spiritual thing is bad idea and stupid concept cuz then I have to read ves trying explain or ranting the same bull**** ves said before in previous ch and Oh the fight writing is bad as well. Why? Because the author keep killing the momentum during fight by droping info dump in middle of fights! And worse shouting killing moves names!. These nonsense wasn't in the early chapter. Also should vandal act more professionally since they are also part of military even thought their rejects. Their author make vandal more like pirate in middle ages which make them more out place in the futuristic world I know the author want protrayed them as bad people I okay with it but it be better if they communicated similar in call of duty characters. And that it's I'm done complaining.
