This is a freemium site, and I pay real dollars to authors I support to read the latest chapters. The very fact that you're so passive aggressive that you'd remove chapters implies that there is the vey real possibility that if you're ever good enough to get monetized that I could end up paying to read a book that you end up removing at a whim. Good riddance.

I'm a reader, I have nothing better to do than read books and reply to snarky authors. I have not and will not read your book. This is not your page, this is qidian, a site you removed your book from. So... IMHO you should stay on amazon or wherever you feel best. My reviews are always completely honest. I had seen that your book had decent enough reviews to give it a perusal so I added it to my reading list, but when I came back a few months later and all I saw was a "I'm getting published so I'm removing the book, buy it on amazon" self congratulatory post where I had seen a chapter count before, so based on the fact that post was the only "chapter" I read, I can only give a 1 star review. If you hadn't removed it but said "I'm publishing my book on wherever and buy my book to continue reading" I would base any review on what I read and if your book was good/compelling/addictive if buy your book from wherever. I strongly recommend that you take a deep breath and relax. This is the internet... don't tell readers what to do, if a review pisses you off, make up for it by writing such a fantastic book that I see you in The NY Times... Go and finish writing your book for those 'loyal readers' you are proud of.

I've been reading books on qidian since the Chinese website was launched, never ran into this "common" empty chapters issue, but I don't usually look at english original authors either. I was unaware you deleted the chapters because of piracy, your post read a lot more like "buy my book"... either way, I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure that deleting chapters only hurts the original authors and not the pirates. It may feel good in a "I'm taking my ball and going home" way, but will certainly reduce your potential audience and marketplace.
