This is a "gatekeepers book" from the looks of it. There have been names of items and techniques that only people who enjoy or are knowledgeable of the cultivation genre are aware of. It isn't friendly to a new reader.In this case, it is a flaw of the author for not properly introducing the world and lore to the reader. This has a storyline, but it is greatly undermined by the fact that we do not know what any of those things are. Most of the information on hand waved as if we were supposed to take it at face value.I greatly recommend that the author try to try new techniques when it comes to weaving exposition into the story. It will greatly increase this story's stock in the future.

Despite my overall ignorance to the genre. I think the story is relatively alright. You just need to expand further on explanations of the lore.

Remember that it is how you use the information dumps that make them worthwhile. Too little information is far more harmful than too much.
