I don't understand why every chinese novel simps over hermione, it's actually a character that I can't like no matter what. Every iteration of her character in every novel gives me headaches

GOSTARI ended up coming across your review again and realized that I know why Chinese fics love Hermione. She's basically the perfect daughter for the Chinese. A genius years ahead of the neighbor's children, who is super successful, joins politics and will bring glory and money to the family (she becomes minister of magic)
Venerable_Far:tbh i like her nerdy personality, she thinks logically but shes not too streetsmart, plus her movie actor is cute (im 16 okay i can like someone whos pretty much my age)

BROOOOOO.. Hermione was a hated character and Ron favorite during book era, movie made her top ranker with a actress like emma watson and a director who was a hermione fanboy and admited to being biased to her character. Most of ron's contribution to the group was given to hermione and she was potrayed is way better light than in the books.
Weikin_fall_8766:well the movie did her dirty. so maybe compensation? ?
Idk fam I’ve pretty much always hated Ron, as well as every Weasley except the twins, rather it be books or movies. He was a jealous clout chaser for basically the entire plot with very little character development. Hermione at least had solid character development, from a very annoying know it all to a competent and mature witch. At least if we ignore the horrendous pairing of those two which made no sense at all

It actually quite obvious, 1. she is a main character 2. positive initial outlook on authorities (social credit+) 3. movie helped her a lot vs the book that no one over there read 4. feedback cycle as all the authors over there "inspire" (copy) each other 5. they like her type of genius that adsorbs information and blindly follow the written knowledge, and not challenge it unless it to develop her character in the author desired direction

Wait so I’ve liked Hermione or Emma Watson since I was a kid but I’ve recently turned into an adult does that mean it’s wrong of me to like her or that I shouldn’t like her anymore
