Imagine a world in which a Chinese author did not have to compulsory brag about his awesome country by putting down his new living environment at every opportunity. I don't know about your country, but if you compare your education system and level between 1980 and 2010 you would probably find an increase in knowledge and skill. Mc is one of those internally racist and discriminatory people who have no clue about anything, but are unsatisfied with everything just because it is different. His investment ideas are almost equally stupid. Imagine trying to invest in Apple in 1980. Yes Apple existed at that time, but it was practically worthless until after 2000. Even Microsoft would have been better. Or IBM or Toyota. Literally any in 2020 well known company that existed at that time would be better. Nintendo also only really got going in 1985.

When’d it mention investing in Apple? I just remember it mentioning that the mc wanted to invest in Nintendo or Sony but decided that he wouldn’t invest in Sony yet because it was only around the late 1900’s that it got more popular.

If he just said “Imagine investing in Apple in the 1980’s”, then maybe I wouldn’t be typing this right now, but sentence after that one shows that maybe it wasn’t hypothetical. OP said that, paraphrasing him, “instead of investing in Apple, mc should have invested in some other company instead” which meant that his meaning is that mc shouldn’t have invested in Apple and he furthers this by saying, “literally any well known 2020 company that existed at that time would be better”. This could just be him remembering the original text wrong so he wrote Apple instead of Sony, but it’s still biased information from the OP. Although the mc did think of investing in Sony, he immediately erased that idea for now after remembering that it’ll only become popular around the 1990’s. Besides, it was just an idea, not like the mc actually did it but the OP says it as if we all haven’t had some stupid ideas in our life that we’ve once thought of. Don’t tell me you haven’t ever thought of spending all your money on lottery tickets hoping to strike it rich, even if you haven’t before, after reading this, you probably have now.

Hmm, I guess that is true then. But, even if the mc invested in Apple back in 1980’s, it wouldn’t have been a loss since the price of Apple’s shares back in 1981 was reportedly 0.1085 dollars on average compared to Apple’s shares 2021 which costs around 130 dollars, mc would’ve made 1000 times the profit.
