Another racist novel is here. According to this novel most of the western Countries are in chaos and only China is stable because of good governance and western countries like America are trying to cheat people into helping them for low cost but chivalrous Chinese are debunking these cheating attempts by revealing the truth 😂😂🤣🤣. What a joke.

GOSTARwell true. but the main difference is they do it in a very low key way and tries to just show their government as good or strong. But the Chinese seems to have some insecurities with global recognition. They present nationalism in the form of outright mockery of other nations and promoting their own superiority in a grand pompous way. This childish and clown like behaviour already destroys the minimal immersion we were having in such modern day novels
Spirits_everywhere:Racism is not the only condition that matter when reviewing books, my man. There are plenty of other factors too, and it’s not fair to judge just based on the fact that there is racism. Like, which book doesn’t promote their own countries? US books promote US, Japan books promote Japan, and no one complains as much?
posting this stuff means nothing. once you leave the states the world does not fit in your perfect little guidelines. the rest of the world calls it nationalism not racism and by the way it is REQUIRED in Chinese novels if they want to be able to keep them on the net there. if they do not have pro China bad others it gets pulled from the net (if it's in a semi current setting, old school stuff as in historical it's not so much required)
So people shouldn't post reviews and base them on the contents of the story? Even if it required to be nationalistic in a novel it doesn't mean that it all of a sudden gets a free pass. People who don't care for that in stories can read the review and decide to not read. Therefore the review has done its job and is not pointless.

I am not from states (America) my dear over enthusiastic friend. Infact I am an Asian living in Asia who hates distorted racism created for the sole purpose of deceitful propaganda.

Pra mim isso é algo crucial, se há racismo em uma história eu espero que alguém comente, pra mim estar preparado pra enfrentar isso, ou simplesmente desistir de ler a obra.

Bruh, china is the most racist country in the world. This isn't just coming out of their overzealous patriotism.

Promoting their own country is never a bad thing brother but bad mouthing other countries and spreading false rumours about those countries just to make themselves look good is a definitely a very bad thing and it is akin to poison in these novels. One drop of poison is enough to spoil a can of pure milk.

thats what i was curious about compared to stuff i have read this novel would not even 4/10 in the nationalism scale
Alexander_Ronald_9347:Huh, did we read the same thing? China, and the whole Asia is also in Chaos, heck MC even encountered 3 or more ghosts already. How did you even come to this conclusion, I didn't even feel any racism here.

the problem is that its always underdog everyone else is evil nationalism. you can already tell that the japanese will be evil and that americans will have a great hidden evil that threatens china. almost never is it a satirical nationalism or make it funny in some way. for instance there are nationalism such as secure your borders but in instance of america its more in the sense of guns everywhere. in these novels maybe at least one time they can do nationalism in the sense that the police buddy always know where you are due to cameras

not true, a well balanced book wouldn't promote one country but look at it overarching the whole world or group. sure the main character will support one country but when that country pretends to be the greatest in the world in this book its just bad writing. If a book wants to demonstrate it must be fair. I understand that Chinese authors need nationalism but there is plenty of other ways to do nationalism besides trying to kill every other thing on earth but themselves, or by making every other country their own. This same concept should be applied to other countries too not just China since theirs lots of nationalism in countries like America too. Though they do a better job since a few things they say are true but still people will get annoyed when they read something and it's a blatant lie on behalf of the author. It like how people don't like MCs where plot armor is too strong because it just absurd and not true. These books just give plot armor to the whole country instead of just one guy but they are essentially the samething.
