Review Detail of Wolf9 in Pocket Hunting Dimension

This is an average story with a good premise, but bad implementation. The translating quality is decent, but has a few glaring flaws that annoy you the more experienced in english you are. Every time i read the phrase "his mouth spasmed" my mouth TWITCHES from the cringe. I don't know why the translator used the word spasm instead of twitch, but it a wrong usage of the english language. The world background is decent. It is rare for a cultivation novel to have an intergalactic background, so that's a plus for the story. The story style is bad, in my opinion. The author doesn't know when to use humour and when not. That's clearly shown in the trial arc, where 2/3 of the chapters are the reactions of the people watching the broadcast and only 1/3 is his fights with the beasts. This disrupts the flow of MC's actions and destroys any tensions that might have been built up. The characters are also one of the flaws of the story. The MC is a superficial idiot, with thoughts of 10 year old. The sister is your typical thsundere female lead. The siblings romantic relationship(cause this is where its going) is ridiculous, while it's been supported by one of the parents. For the rest of the characters, we don't know much. Alice seems like a nice character, but not much is shown till chapter 90. MC's cheat ability is interesting. It is his way of gathering resources, so while its OP, i've seen a lot worse. One surprise on this part is that he shares the resources he gets from his cheat with his sister, unlike in most novels where the MC keeps his ability a secret even if he could use it to help his friends. All in all, it is an average story, that you can read if you are looking for something that does not need any brain cells.
