Actually i want to give this book a review after 100+ch or so, when we can see the story development and more world building. But things happened and author suddenly dropped this book. If only i knew this is going to be dropped i'd write the review much earlier. So here's my honest review so far, i hope this can be good reference for author's next project. PLEASE NOTE THAT I WRITE THIS BASED ON THE LATEST CHAPTER BEFORE IT WAS DROPPED GENERAL REVIEW: I love myths. And this novel has it. That fact alone is enough to make me interested to read this book. Then we have this unusual plot and characters on WN where MC isn't just dumb OP fukboi and it's not shameless faceslapping repetitive story. Also, i prefer this slow paced story with so many details explained rather than fast paced one. However, i feel like the first 20 chapters (the siren arc) were written really well but after that (the jade bunny arc) the story started to feel...hmm kinda rushed? Idk the right word for that. There's no real threat for the mission, the clinic is shady but after just using his voice manipulation he can solve it easily, and in the end the jade rabbit used brute force to knock the doctor down, i mean if the doctor really is a shady character he at least should have something up his sleeve. Then again, maybe the real struggle is after this arc, only the author knows... The feeling that i get when reading this book is 'Muddy'. Y'know when u read something there is this certain feeling u get from the story, like scary, or heartwarming, or exciting, or pissed, or something else... but tbh, for this book, despite the great theme/main idea, i feel quite confused, like idk what to expect from this book. It's hard to explain, i mean i like the book but there's no special factor that makes me excited to read the next chapter. For example, My house of horror has this creepy atmosphere from the beginning and the author described it really well, i like that so i'd always expecting what kind of ghost or creepy scene/mission will the MC meet in the next arc. Or Percy Jackson, i really like the demigod characters, so i wanna know about their ability and how will they end up. Or LoTR, i really like the world background and i wanna know how the ring got from mordor to hobbiton to mordor again. Those kind of things that make you hooked with the story, that i think lacking from this book. BUT AGAIN, it's only 38chapters so it's very hard to tell... *sigh* that's why i don't like to write a review too early,  so i was still hoping there will be something in the next arc but it was dropped, sadly. WRITING QUALITY: 4 out of 5 Tbh my grammar isn't that good bcs i'm non english speaker so i'm not gonna discuss that, but i found that the story is easy to understand,  even for someone who's not really proficient in English, so that means the author has the ability to deliver the story well. And i can tell that author really done their research well based on many details i found about myth in the book. I like how creative the author come up with clues or name, like "a-Maze-d" or "Diana" or that paw print. I was hoping for some humor or inside jokes in the story, because i think the whole story feels too "stiff", idk if thats what the author wants but that is only my personal opinion. Also sometimes in one chapter there are not much dialogue so it could be too flat and boring. STABILITY OF UPDATING: 5 out of 5 *a bit OOT* I'm a night owl, and i noticed the author always uploading the new chapter approximately at 4am everyday. So i got curious and found out that the author lives in the same timezone as me (hopefully i'm not wrong lol) i think it's quite interesting to upload that early in the morning lol, i mean if it were me i'd rather sleep and upload it at 8 or 9am lol...

STORY DEVELOPMENT: 3 out of 5 It's obviously because it only has 38 chapters duh -_- The main plot is quite interesting, that is to revive the glory of ME by completing petitions. But then what? Is there any antagonist? What about the real purpose of ME itself? Any possible future employees? How abt the future clients? Nothing is clear at this point. I know Tree has been struggling with feedback and preference of WN readers, and i respect Tree's choice and reason to drop this and rewrite it like those WN type stories. But i can't say that i'm not disappointed when this book was dropped suddenly. It's hard to write slow paced story, furthermore its a mystery, so yeah...you need a lot of time to actually see the result. CHARACTER DESIGN: 4 out of 5 Let's talk about Arthur. He's a 25yo NEET countrybumkin who is ambitious enough to dream about making it big in the city. No looks and no brain, very average. From the story, we can see he's very filial to his parents, also he's quite smart, has common sense, and not greedy. We can see that in the first and second chapter. But he's very "green", mentally and job wise. He knows little to nothing about myths, and he also not that interested with it before he found ME. So why was he chosen by ME? Why is he special? Is this just coincidende? From the comment that the author posted somewhere, i get the idea of how the author intend to use Arthur as "lens to write the myths" and rather focusing on the myth itself. But i think a well described MC is necessary to make the story more solid. Arthur has no special characteristic, personality, habit, nor goal. So what's the use of him in the story? What's the difference between him and the side character then? It's ok not to make the MC stand out from other characters but at least give a reason why the MC is....well..."The MC". A good reference would be the MC from "Pet King". The entire novel is focusing on Pet and Pet Industry and the MC is very ordinary, he only has a good knowledge of pets and a pet store. Even the pet elves he collected have more stories, more background, clearer personality than the MC but there are things that makes MC the "MC", like his devotion towards his job and pets or his shameless but diligent personality. Also good reference would be the novel "Dracula". The myth characters in my also has not too much personality nor background story so far, but i guess there's more to see in the next chapter, like Miss S and her sisters, or Diana and her home, or that weeping woman and the nurse. WORLD BACKGROUND: 3 out of 5 So far, the world background is not much. I mean the myths are from rl myths so i guess the setting is on Earth. But where on Earth? What year or era is it? Where is Armana city? Is there any special culture, norm, race, habit of people there? Is there any relevance between the clients ME has and the city? So far it's yet to be explained. BUT i do like how the author describe the geographic of Blue Lake and Caroline Shore in details. So maybe this is it, the review from me... idk if this will be useless but i just wanna share my thoughts on this book, because i really do like it and i'm hoping for this book to continue, even if the update isn't everyday like it used to. And for the author, Lonelytree, i wish u good luck for your other novels... 😊😊😊
