I'm not really into sci-fi but the action was the only thing that kept me going. since i don't watch sci-fi movies, I don't know how to imagine it and without characters description, it makes it harder. But apart from that, I basically like how it started, even though I got confused sometimes

why does the captain and the lieutenant have the same name, it makes it confusing
