Reading it means giving it the necessary importance so that you end up thinking about giving more of yourself to that story, which would make the other stories be delayed or lose some sense in following them... even though you may believe that this will not happen, I have seen many cases like this, quoting a phrase from an author of a MTL FIC "When something of your own reaches the top, the rest based on something already existing ceases to be important"
