Considering this is a translation, I suggest cross referencing some of the titles and character names as allows readers a smoother experience. For example, the Black Dragon in Fairy Tail is spelled Acnologia. Pretty sure Mirajane and Erza are 19 or 20 at the start of canon whereas Natsu and Gray are two years younger. Obviously, this takes extra time but maybe something to look into.

I think either way works, however if you use Chojiro, it should be as part of his duties as vice-captain, and the same for Genshiro as 3rd seat.

Impel down in canon, is built in the Grandline and forms part of the giant whirlpool which connects it with Marineford and Enies Lobby. How are you going to explain the connection to the the other two if it is located in the calm belt with no currents?

I don’t think they were developed by Garp so much as the World Government. Garp has only ever shown usage of Soru and Geppou so I think it unlikely.
